As their are many aspirants wanting a seat in CSE branch, Rank below 500 is safe if you wish to go for CSE branch in Sastra University, Thanjavur.
If you get anything below 500 and you wish to only join CSE, then You should look for other colleges.

Well-maintained, large campus with modern classrooms, AC seminar halls, Excellent library. Good wi-fi, hostel, and canteen Facilities, professional environment with strong infrastructure supporting management education.

I really like this colleges based on placement based on my optionion you can join our college. Little bit strict but that’s Okk. In our college infrastructure is better I’m currently doing my Bsc degree in sastra university

College Infrastructure
My experience with this college is a mixed one ..The infrastructure of the university is good and is the most remarkable for the computing programs The research facilities here are top notch with fully equipped Labs and great professors (not all but a few ones are very experienced and influential in their field..other buildings are average and there is a wifi facility available 24/7 for laptops..no cycle is available ..The food is good..but everything has its bad days too..the form is quite clean
