You have not mentioned which category you belong to nor your state. With a percentile of 89.98, it becomes difficult to secure a seat in the NIT's when comparing the results of previous years, unless you belong to any reserved category. Also, One thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats. There is no particular cutoff for SASTRA University the admission at SASTRA is based on two ways:
Stream 1: JEE main marks + board exam marks (70% seats)
Stream 2: only board exam marks (30% seats)
There is no specific cut off to get a seat in SASTRA University. It depends on the student who scores the highest marks. If you have appeared for JEE Mains then apply under stream 1. If your board exam marks is 90-95% and JEE main marks is between 50-120 then you can get admission under stream 1.
For stream 2, your board exam marks should be at least above 85-90% to get a seat and if it is more than 95% you can get a good course.
The last date to apply is June 10th and they will release the rank list on that day.
You must apply for the SASTRA university and wait for the final list and hope for the best.

You have low chances of admission by stream 2. You would have better chances of admission if you got a decent score in JEE Mains.

Sorry your chances of getting seat in SASTRA University are nearly null for your JEE Mains rank. So try to apply for private colleges which accepts JEE Mains and give admission under B Category so that you can ensure a seat.

Hey Aditya, You have scored 78.35 percentile in JEE MAINS and your class 12 board score is 76.5%. At this rank you can get seat in Mechanical Branch in Sastra University but there are less chances as you might get seat in last rounds. I will suggest you to apply in this college and along with that apply in some other colleges too so as to get best college for your future and secure your seat there.

I really like this colleges based on placement based on my optionion you can join our college. Little bit strict but that’s Okk. In our college infrastructure is better I’m currently doing my Bsc degree in sastra university

College Infrastructure
My experience with this college is a mixed one ..The infrastructure of the university is good and is the most remarkable for the computing programs The research facilities here are top notch with fully equipped Labs and great professors (not all but a few ones are very experienced and influential in their field..other buildings are average and there is a wifi facility available 24/7 for laptops..no cycle is available ..The food is good..but everything has its bad days too..the form is quite clean
