Hello Shashank,
First of all, I'll tell you the calculations done by SASTRA university for SASTRA rank publication . If you've opted for stream 1, the sastra rank will be published based on SASTRA score ie; (0.25*jee perecentile) +(0.75*boards percentile). And based on this calcaulation, I'm pretty sure that you may not be called up for first round of counselling as competition is pretty high this time around. However, subject to seat availablity , you can get called up for second counselling round.
Hope that helps
All the best
Hey Srija, Greetings From Career 360
There are 2 streams of the selection process in SASTRA
Stream 1:70% of seats
25% weight of JEE MAIN score+75% weight of CLass 10+2 Equivalent
according to the data given (0.25*85)+(0.75*96)=93.25
You can apply in this Stream.
Stream 2:30% of seats
Admissions are given in this stream based on your 10+2 equivalent marks.

Hello Prabhath,
Congrats for your GPA and percentile.I am happy to tell you that you have a high chance to get CSE in SASTRA University since you have an excellent percentile and GPA.The admission there is ususally based on both 12th marks and JEE Main percentile. The SASTRA rank is calculated based on these two parameters((JEE main percentile*0.25)+(12th percentage*0.75)) and you will be called for counselling based on the order of your merit. For you your GPA will be considered instead of percentage.
For more details regarding the admission procedure, please refer page 9 in the below link.

Hi Srija!
As you may know that Sastra merit is prepared on 2 criterias:-
1st criteria:- It has 70% of seats. Admission based on 25% weightage of JEE mains and 75% weightage(after normalisation) of class 12.
2nd criteria:- For 30% seats, admission is based on class 12 board marks only. Candidates with 95 or 95+ can secure seat as competition is tough.
You can get sastra but for exact branch and other top college use this :- https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=jee-main-college-predictor&ici=jee-main_rp-result
Hello!
"Yes" you will get '
Sastra Deemed University will offer admission in 2019 under the following two streams:
Through stream 1:
Admissions to 70% of the seats will be made through stream 1 on the basis of JEE Main scores and normalized scores of the 10+2 or equivalent exam.
The 25% weightage will be given to JEE Main scores and the remaining 75% will be given to marks scored in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
The combined scores will be used to prepare the rank list and candidates will be invited for admission on the basis of the rank list.
Through stream 2:
The remaining 30% of the seats will be filled through stream 2
Only 10+2 (or equivalent) normalized scores will be considered while preparing the rank list of stream 2.
Candidates can apply through both the streams. In case, a candidate has not appeared for JEE Main 2019 exam and has applied for stream 1, the weighted score for the 25% will be considered 0 but the qualifying exam aggregate scores will be given 75% weightage to arrive at the combined score. However, in case of stream 2, the qualifying exam scores will be given 100% weightage.

I really like this colleges based on placement based on my optionion you can join our college. Little bit strict but that’s Okk. In our college infrastructure is better I’m currently doing my Bsc degree in sastra university
My experience with this college is a mixed one ..The infrastructure of the university is good and is the most remarkable for the computing programs The research facilities here are top notch with fully equipped Labs and great professors (not all but a few ones are very experienced and influential in their field..other buildings are average and there is a wifi facility available 24/7 for laptops..no cycle is available ..The food is good..but everything has its bad days too..the form is quite clean
