Hello aspirant!
Thapar University provides admission to students on the basis of their JEE mains rank. Your percentile doesn't matter but you should have a decent rank for whatever branch you want to take up for engineering. You should check out the last year cut-off ranks. Thapar has a large quota for students of Punjab. Other than that, the cut-off is quite high for a General Student.
Hello,
The cutoff for Thapar university round one has been declared and as per that 98.2 is the cut off for Computer Science and Engineering and 95.4 for CSE and business.
They fill maximum of their seats on Jee mains basis. So, wait till the last round, you might surely get CSE at this percentile.
And on 12th basis still cut offs are not arranged. I suggest you to go with Jee Score and you will get it.
Hope this will help.
All the best for future.
Hello Jatin, I would suggest you choose CSE in Thapar university because Thapar has a better reputation than VIT. The fact that Thapar accepts students on the basis of JEE Mains rank makes it a competitive college. You would have a more competitive classroom in Thapar than in VIT. Moreover, Thapar is at a less traveling distance from Delhi so you can easily travel home in festivals and small family functions while VIT is two days away if you travel by train. VIT is better if you have no choice of college. there's always a seat for everyone in VIT.
Hello Madhu,
First of all congratulations on your admission, as I am guessing because of your question.
Coming to your question "in person round" means a counselling just like any other. They will call you, you have to go with your parents, DD. The students will have to stand in a line according to their rank and they will be given seats as per their preferences and availability of the seats.
When your turn will come, you can decide which one you want to take, keeping in mind the availability
Availability of seats will also be displayed on the screen.
Hope this helps. All the very best.
Hey Akshit, You have scored 103489 rank in JEE MAINS and this rank is good too but if you are looking for Computer Science then you will be getting difficulty while applying in Thapar Engineering College as many seats being reserved and you can apply now to just maintain counselling on 15 June otherwise you will be very late and you will not get admission there. You can fill form here and wait for counselling and you might get seat there but I would suggest you to use JEE MAINS COLLEGE PREDICTOR and that will be really very helpful to you. You can get seat there.
If you want admission in other colleges on the basis of JEE Mains Marks you can choose JEE MAIN PREDICTOR as being provided by Careers 360 only at a very nominal price. You will be provided with all the details of the colleges with the best branch. You can use that it is really very good and you can check and explore various colleges and choose the best college.

Hello Jatin, thapar university is one of the best college as compared to the bennett university.. the fees of bennet is quite higher as compared to thapar university! Thapar university has good infrastructure and good faculty and good placements too..
so i would suggest you to take thapar university
all the best
Many facilities provide by college lab is very good and working well, classroom is very good and library is also provided by college and you can take any book in your course. Many facilities provided in our hostel food is average and canteen is also available in our hostel medical facilities is also available in our hostel.
The coursework is decent, they try to make them familiar with each technology one by one. Classrooms are good, and the campus is big. Hostels are also good but overpriced. The food in the mess is not very good and is also overpriced.
Infrastructure of the college is just okay. Buildings look very old and don’t justify the fees charged. The Labs for our branch are the worst. Wi-Fi connectivity is good overall. The college library is decent. The classrooms are very nice up to 2nd year but after that we will get a normal school type classroom.
