It is difficult to get Computer Science and Engineering in Sastra University.

As you got 93.4% in IPE it is difficult get CSE in that stream because the competetion will be very high and the cut will be around 98.6%.

Coming to the other stream your JEE Main percentile is also not excellent. So, it is difficult to get CSE in Sastra University.

If you like to join in Sastra University, you can go for some other engineering branch.

If you like to join CSE you can opt for some other private university.

All the best...!

Greetings,

The admission to Shastra is based on your 10+2 score andyour JEE score.

The 25% weightage will be given to JEE Main scores and the remaining 75% will be given to marks scored in 10+2 or equivalent examination.

Soo if you provide your 12th score I will be able to predict if u can get into Shastra .

Most likely you will be able to get through considering your JEE score.

Regards, careers360 team.

The hostel and mess facilities are better than most of the colleges in India.
Amrita has tie ups with institutes to provide CAT,GATE,GRE and UPSC coaching within the campus on certain days of the week for a nominal fee.
In short,Amrita provides a lot of opportunities and one can make good use of it.

Hello Aspirant.

See ur marks in the JEE mains exam is too low for to grab any of the good govt college to pursue ur higher studies in the field of ur interest under the btech courses. U should be going for private Institution like LPU , MANIPAL , SRM and that too under management quota for ur btech career. I m providing u a link for ur help.

Hi,

Sastra is a really good private college and is ranked at No.38 as per the latest NIRF rankings.

It is very well known for its CSE,ECE,BioTech and Mech programmes and offers attractive placements by the time you complete your degree.

There are many student clubs and competitions which you can participate in and win rewards.

All in all,it should be a really good choice.

The only con is that the hostels are unbearable during summers,so if you wish to stay nearby, you could opt for any other local colleges.

Hi Lakshmi!

Yes. It is obvious because as u already know that there are 2 streams to get admission in SASTRA.

STREAM 1(75% of seats)

Criteria - 75% JEE MAINS marks+25%state board/CBSE marks(now CGPA to AP students)

STREAM 2(25%of seats)

Criteria-It is only based of IPE marks or state board.

As your CGPA is 10 which is the top in AP board u will get admission for sure.

You have scored 89.71 percentile which is very low percentile as the cutoff was 89.75. At this percentile, you will not be able to get admission in Sastra University in Computer Science Branch as there will be a lot of difficulties while taking admission and there are very fewer chances of taking admission there. But don't be sad you can take admission in very good colleges at this percentile. You can check various colleges and choose the best one for your future.
