The college has a great infrastructure with all the necessary requisites like a Computer Centre, an Innovation and Incubation Cell , Entrepreneurship cell, Sports Complex , Open Air Theatre and most importantly Asia's largest lecture theatre complex.
I am pursuing Metallurgical and Material Engineering as I have a profound interest in Materials and I want to pursue my research work in this field. The quality of teaching is excellent. The faculty provides an amazing learning experience.
The quality of placements has been fairly good. Around 80% of the students get placed with good job security and a great future. The highest paid salary package goes upto 50LPA in the Computer Science Stream.
The fee structure is quite nominal . It is around INR 80000 per semester. Though it is value for money, a lot of reservations are provided for the SC and ST categories and even for the students with less annual family income.
Extending upto an area of 300 acres of lush greenery, the campus of the institute is imaginatively laid out with a picturesque landscape. It presents a spectacle of harmony in modern architecture, natural beauty which enthralls and inspires.
The overall experience of MNIT, Jaipur has been great. It was really great to have the privilege of studying in the national institute of technology of such a great importance. The college has evolved me in a true sense.
MNIT has Asia's largest lecture hall, known as VLTC, which has well equipped classrooms and required facilities. The Computer centre has high speed internet facility and can accomodate many students. Apart from this there's sports complex, library, courts for different sports,OAT,etc.
I am a pre final student year student, pursuing metallurgical and materials engineering. Majority of the professors in our branch are experienced, well qualified and very helpful. Though the curriculum is well structured but it is not up to date.
Many big companies visit our campus for recruitment including Goldman Sachs,JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Barclays, Fidelity,TATA Steel, etc. The overall average package is around 6 to 7 lacs. Many companies also provide internships ,out of which majority are converted into PPOs.
The money paid is definitely worth the education quality and experience we gain here. The tution fee is around 70 - 80k per semester and the hostel fees is around 30-40 k per semester.
MNIT has a beautiful, lush green campus and is situated in the heart of city. It's proximity to airport and railway station is plus point. Also there are various market places and malls nearby, which makes it very easy for a new person in city to fulfill his/ her requirements.
Overall it is a great place to spend your valuable four years. Not only it educates you in your field of study but also provide you with ample of opportunities to try new hobbies whether it be dramatics, any sport or any skill.
All the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments are provided in college. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and well maintained. Hostel is also good and the food provided is also hygienic.
I am pursuing B.Tech from MNIT in Computer Science and Engineering as it gives me an in depth knowledge of the technical world. No doubt teaching is A class. Necessary updation is also done in curriculum time to time.
The placement percent is around 90%.Highest salary is offered in Computer Science and Engineering branch of 43 lakhs. The average salary of the whole college is about 5-6 lakhs. The placement process as told by our seniors is also easy.
For me it costs around 1,30,000 per year which is completely worth.
The infrastructure's very good with all the facilities, the classrooms have been well designed, library is good, sports facilities are amazing and hostels are great with the corridoors and washrooms being cleaned daily. Food is average with importance being given to perfet diet.
I am an undergraduate student persuing Metallurgical and materials engineering.I chose it because I had great interest in material research also the department gives you many opportunities and the professors are helpful too. The curriculum is not up to date but it includes the basics but the webinars and talks organized by department keep us well informed about the latest technologies.
The placement session depends on placement coordinator to much extent . I haven't given an interview yet but yess college will always be your support system. Highest package offered last year was 17 L/p.a. for my department. And the average package was 8L/p.a.
yearly it costs me around 2.5 L .
Campus life are always the best. You'll never regreat having one. Everyone's very supportive . The campus is safe with its own dispensary and bank.
MNIT has the best infra as compared to its counterparts. it has an amazing location, in the centre of the city which keeps you connected in all ways(rail, road and air). the lecture halls are hygienic and well maintained.
academics are good since we are made ready to deal with any problem that requires intellect. we are trained to handle pressure and responsibilities. Teachers are helpful and hardworking. one can be a part of some great research work being done by the faculty
some of the best companies like DeShaw, Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, etc, visit our campus for placements and internships. nearly most of the students get placed. students also bag off-campus placements in companies like Microsoft, Google, Apple, and any of the tech giants one can think of.
the fee is reasonable, like all the govt. colleges.
the campus has its perks and perks. it's beautifully built and well connected .
joining this college was the best decision I made since I could share a place with the best minds in the country!
The classrooms have projectors, are air-conditioned and spacious. The labs have all the necessary equipment. Library has everything course related and a little literature section too. Hostels are clean and we'll maintained, food in the mess is okayish, the plates aren't always clean.
I'm studying metallurgical and materials engineering, the curriculum is updated and the professors try to provide the latest information in the field. Morning classes aren't that great. The course is well structured.
Most people get placed. Mostly in non core branches. 90%+ students get placed every year and almost everyone without a backlog.. The professors are helpful and guide you well through the process. The college is supportive.
Yes, it's well worth it
Girls have to get back to hostels before 10 pm and this will prevent them to access the computer center at night hours. The campus is safe.
The location is good, in the center of city.
MNIT Jaipur has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment, in-classroom we have projectors, in libraries and hostels we have wifi. In the first year, we got 2 seater room and from 2nd year single-seater room is provided
I'm am studying B- tech in chemical engineering branch and quality of education is quite good, MNIT Jaipur is updating its curriculum time to time and various courses are offered in this college like B tech, Mtech, MSc, PhD, architecture etc
In MNIT Jaipur there are 73 % placements and in my branch, there is 63% placement last year and the average package is 8LPA and highest package offered is 38 LPA. In general, the highest package goes to computer s science and engineering branch but last year it goes to chemical engineering
college fee depends on your parental income and hostel fee is same for all
college life is very amazing here in MNIT and it is situated in the city
A great and reputed institution
Yes ,institute has well developed infrastructure, facilities and well equipped. Well equipped classrooms, properly maintained laboratories, large digital library containing books of almost all interests.
I am pursuing Chemical Engineering. Teaching as well as non teaching staff all are very polite and humble. Also the quality of education that is provided here is also worth the name of NIT. Curriculum is updated as required.
Talking about chemical engineering branch placement are good but not as great as other branches like cs, ece etc. Highest salary package always goes with computer science engineering branch. On Campus placements amd internships are doing good.
Seeing academic only it costs about 1.5 lakhs ( for general category students having family income >5 lakhs) per year. Yes it is worth it, if you make a most of it and get a decent placement offered.
Being the campus inside main city, as a majority of institutes are situated outside city ,we enjoy a lot, having dinners, hanging out anytime. Also Being a tourist place ,there are many places to explore.
Yes, my college has good infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Classroom are well equipped with projectors. But we don't have facility of mic in our classrooms which poses some problem to students sitting at the back.
I am currently pursuing btech in chemical engineering because I have interest in this branch. Yes, my curriculum is well- updated and includes all the recent developments in all the field. Quality of teaching is good.
Quality of placements for chemical Engineering branch has been good in the recent years. Core companies visit our College for recruitment. Average package is between 6-7 lakh. I haven't gone through the placement process yet.
Around 2 lakh.
My college gives grate exposure to students
As the name is , Malaviya National Institute of Technology, our college has fabulous infrastructure. It has biggest lecture theatre for our lecture classes, big and clean labs, computer centres, library and clean and airy hostel rooms. Mess food is also very good.
Quality of teaching is superior. We have experienced and dedicated group of professors. Their experience may help you to learn more about industrial relevance of the subjects. You can learn and practice in the labs simultaneously.
Placement ratio is also good and average package considering all branches is around 6-7lpa. Many big companies visit our campus for placements including Goldman Sachs, Mahindra, Bajaj, JPMorgan, Tata Steel and others.
All that money you give is worth the experience and knowledge you are going to gain in four years. Education fees is not very much and also you will not regret the money spent on mess food.
Campus Life is fun here. You can roam around with your friends in the campus and enjoy all the fests including cultural, technical and sports from time to time. You surely will make good memories with the campus.
Hello Aspirant,
If you have a strong interest in core engineering and also an interdisciplinary inclination toward fields like automation, robotics, or control systems, then Instrumentation and Control in NIT Trichy would be a great field to choose, NIT Trichy is one of the top NITs with good faculty, research exposure and great placements record for niche branches as well.
However, if you have a stronger inclination to become more software, electronics, communication level in the tech field, ECE in NIT Nagpur or MNIT Jaipur would be better options as they provide a wider breadth to careers and also a better mass placements options.
So choose NIT Trichy (ICE) as it is a prestige institute and if you have core engineering interest and decent academics. Also, you can choose ECE (Nagpur/Jaipur) for breadth in tech roles, coding based jobs, flexibility in all sorts of career paths.
Hello Varun,
For
MNIT Jaipur
admission, especially in engineering through
JEE Main
, admission is mainly based on
JEE Main rank and percentile
.
About your case:
You have
64 percentile
and belong to
ST category
.
Is admission to MNIT Jaipur possible with 64 percentile ST?
Generally, the closing percentile for ST category candidates at
MNIT Jaipur
is
much higher
than 64 percentile.
Usually, ST category closing percentiles for MNIT Jaipur engineering seats are around
85–90+ percentile
(varies by branch and year).
64 percentile is quite low
for direct admission to MNIT Jaipur through JEE Main counseling.
Conclusion:
With 64 percentile (ST category) , it is unlikely to get a seat at MNIT Jaipur through JEE Main counseling.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
With 89.1 percentile in JEE Main, getting admission in MNIT (Malaviya National Institute of Technology) is quite tough, especially in popular branches like CSE or ECE. If you belong to a reserved category like SC, ST, or OBC and have a home state quota (Rajasthan), your chances might improve for less competitive branches. But for general category, chances are very low. You can still apply and also look at other NITs, GFTIs, or good state colleges.
