Decent infrastructure and more development is going on. Well equipped Normal classrooms and high tech rooms for lectures and special sessions. When it comes to Tribology , NIT Srinagar has one of the best labs in country and a Central Research Facility dedicated to research in Tribology and Materials Technology.
Teachers teach very well , highly qualified faculties are there and have lots of experience in teaching and research, providing good guidance to students whenever they are in need. Quality of teaching is good.
When it comes to Mtech , placements are not upto that mark when we compare to Btech. Majority of students prefer to go for higher studies in India or Abroad. Improvement is required. The placement cell is very well managed and always looking for great opportunities for students.
Excellent value for money.
The campus is situated near the banks of legendary Dal lake of Srinagar and walking distance from Hazratbal shrine and Kashmir University. Good markets are nearby for shopping and good restaurants. Its infrastructure is very good and the most beautiful thing is you can see a very good scenario out side the campus. But the worst thing is that the area is always enriched with public riots and curfew. Anyway all the facilities are provided.
It is a NIT with low ranking and it is under developing conditions. The curriculum is being updated day by day and the professors are highly qualified and educated and their efforts to our students makes us job ready.
Placement are decent. It is not very bad and increasing day by day. Software and core both has decent placement. The highest package is 15 to 18 lacs and the average lying around 5.5 lacs. Most of the students are placed.

As for the MTIEM program, I couldn't find ANY information about it on NIT Srinagar's official website or contact their admissions office for more details.
NIT Srinagar does not accept the RBA (Resident Backward Area) category as it is a reservation category specific to Jammu and Kashmir and not recognized at the national level, including for admissions to central institutions like NITs so you are not able to apply.
Moreover If you belong to the RBA category, you will not be able to claim reservation benefits when applying to NIT Srinagar; you will be considered under the general category.
Hope it is clear to you..
