The college has a good infrastructure. The classrooms are really very good and has the projector and smart board facility in most of them. The new lecture theaters are really really good and are made with proper sound management.Labs are well equiped. There are some buildings and rooms which should have to be taken care and should be maintained. There is no proper availablity of water in those buildings. Their is greenery inside the campus and it is fully Wifi.
Thr institute is over all good in academics. I am a civil engineering student, the curriculum is updated in our field. Teachers are also good and helpfull. They are very kind and understand you and your doubts and problems.
80%-90%students are placed every year with fine packages. And the ratio has been Increasing regularly. Last year the highest package offered was of near about 35-40 lac per annum and average goes around 10-12 lac per annum. In civil engineering department, the highest package was of 12 lac per annum and average goes around 7 lac per annum. Teachers and Academic circle provide us various opportunities to improve ourselves and get ready for the placements.
2-3 lac is spent per year for a hosteler. In this case, i think every student would be having an issue. Every student needs a detail about it that should be provided in according to the fee that we are paying. Because i think every money that we are paying is not being used worth fully.
Campus is really good. But there are some bad things also about it that should be brought under consideration. Although, Student will enjoy the life, there are various sports in the college and play grounds and courts. There is a well equiped gym for students also. Most of the teachers are really good and best seniors one could get. It's located on the outskirts of the city. Away from the traffic, pollution and noise of the city. But it is well connected with the inner city through cab and auto.
The campus and the institute is good. Medical facilities are also provided inside the campus and one can get things of basic needs from inside the campus shops. So, inspite of some discrepancies, the campus is really really good and students will get to enjoy the fests that are held twice a year. One is cultural and the other one is technical. Students will get a good chance to show their talent in all the fields other than studies. There are various clubs and games in the institute.
collage has good infrastructure with requires no of labs and classrooms classrooms are air conditionered. there is a central library with many useful books. it's very hygiene. cleanliness is maintained properly
I m studing civil engineering branch here. the professors are enough qualified and the curriculum is upto date and if we follow the guidance of the professors and seniors then it will lead to a good job
I m a 2 nd year student so dont have in depth knowledge but as far as I have heard yes its good for all branches rest can be checked on website this year the highest package is 39 lakh given by Amazon and Microsoft
different amount is charged from different categories based on income of the family. this detailed description is also available on site and there is a mess charge also of rs 24500 that is charged per semester apart from the tution and additional charges
campus life is remarkable. there is greenry and fresh air all over the campus . many clubs are there including SAC, coding clubs ,dance, music drama etc there are also cultural fests like utkansh and technical fest like techniti.
My experience is very good. It has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. We have enough light system and ACs and fans in classroom, library and hostels and have internet connection too.
Experienced teachers, good quality education, updated curriculum which includes recent developments in required field are in our college. It makes easy to study for students and helps in making students job ready.
Placements of my college are very good. For mech. 2019 batch 100% students are placed. Placements of other branches are also too good. Avg package is of 7-8lpa and highest is upto 40lpa and minimum is 4-5lpa.
Yes I feel that I am getting my money's worth in this college. Course cost depends on income of students for income less thn 1 lakh per year it is nearly 1 lakh per year and for upto 5 lakh income it is 1.5 lakh per year and for above 5 lakh it is around 2.5 lakh per year.
This college is located at Amritsar Jalandhar By pass at a very less distance for main city which makes the environment peaceful . Also we have all necessary markets near us and even present in college.
I feel that this college has every facility that a good college must have. We can see it's good results as per NIRF ranking is growing. Good college. I would love to recommend this one to my juniors.
yes, collage has good infrastructure with requires no of labs and classrooms classrooms are air conditionered. there is a central library with many useful books. it's very hygiene. cleanliness is maintained properly
I m studing electrical engineering branch here. the professors are enough qualified and the curriculum is upto date and if we follow the guidance of the professors and seniors then it will lead to a good job .

As far I experienced, this college provides you with all basic infrastructure, facilities and equipments required. Different kind of workshops and webinars are being organised time to time. Libraries, classrooms and sport centres are well maintained but hostels have different scenario. Wifi is available but sometimes it causes network problems and living places are being cleaned time to time. Food quality is okay not perfect.
I am currently pursuing BTech in instrumentation and control engineering. Here few teachers are not able to deliver their subjects properly but some are perfectly fine in their subjects. Basic workshops and practical knowledge are provided to students and curriculum gets upgraded time to time according to present need.
Placements are far better as compared to other colleges. Almost students are placed with good packages but it mainly depends upon students' skills. 27lpa-40lpa are the highest packages being offered in big multi national companies. Amazon, Microsoft do heir students from our college.
My course costs 93,000 per semester as tution fees ,hostel and other charges. Its worth it as we are provided with all necessary facilities.
College is located in city outskirts. So it is far away from main city market and campus is good and infrastructure gets improvised time to time.
Infrastructure is fine but improvement has to be done. Improvements are going on i hope in future the infrastructure will be developed well. A new mega girls hostel contruction has already started. It is improving
I am an electronics and communication engineering student and i would say the curriculum is not updated and the teachin is also not good. All in all u teach urself a night before exam through youtube.
Placements here are average and good for computer science ,electronics and communication and information technology departments but it is slowly improving with more of the alumni rising into prominence in the corporate world.
Ya being a general category student the course costs approx a lakh each sem including the hostel and mess fees and i think its fine but improvement needs to be done. There are many extra co-cirriculars engaging students .
College life is fun here late night parties are a bliss. Hostel life is awesome provided you get the right people. Many clubs for acting ,dancing, drawing, bhangra, etc are there which are fun. Seniors are very supportive and friendly.
NIT jalandhar have very good infrastructure and building . Classrooms laboratories and library are very well designed so that students can be comfortable while they are studying like classroom have ac, smart board foldable chair and many more things
My branch is instrumentation and control engineering so I am studying about instruments and how to control the instruments so that I can become a very successful Engineer and quality of teaching is owsome because of our tallented and PhD holder teachers ! Our curriculum are updated every year !
Till now placement my college have very beutiful ranking in placement. around 85 to 90 Percentage of students get placed each and every year.generally CSE and EC branch have the highest pakage of around 48 to 50 LPA and average salary is varies branch to branch and overall college average salary is 7 LPA around !
Course cost veries depending upon family income and catagory of the students .for students having family income more than 5 lpa it costs around 1.5 to 2lpa and for family income less than 1 lpa it cost around 80k including hostel fees ! If you don't be serious definitely you are wasting your time and money!
Campus is very butiful , the best thing is that you will get each and every thing of your need and the worst things is campus is small compared to others nits and no near by large market place for daily movers! Location is safe and osm !
Nothing
I have spent almost 1 year in the college and I feel that I am experienced enough to enlist various aspects of our institute. I am a hosteler, and the mess food sucks, we have five beds in a single room and there is barely any space left for us to walk. There is wifi provision to each student in the hostel.one can sit hours in library as it is well maintained and also have various books on each department.
The academic programmes are organised on a credit based semester system. the credit system envisages a continuous evaluation of students performance. The specified minimum number of credits should be acquired for continuation in academic programme.
Placement of Cse, Ece and textile branch is good nowadays. And other braches suffer a little disadvantage in placement. However students can prepare for higher level studies if they wish to. Various reputed companies such as Amazon, Tata etc comes for the placement.
If the Student is a hosteler, total amount costs per semester is nearly 1Lac and if the Student is a day scholar then the total amount costs nearly 87,000 with extra charges for bus facility. Academically college is worth it but it can add various activities too..
I would say campus life is amazing, though land area of the campus is small comparatively but there are many facilities available such as gym, football ground, cricket ground,OAT for various activities and also many clubs.
we have a lan connection for internet in our hostels, there is a wifi connection also available in some of the areas which is accessible to some devices only. the library is good, plenty of books are there on various topics. also we have computer labs which are enough according to our requirements. the infrastructure of our college is good overall. but the food of our hostel is a mess and no proper hygine is maintained there.
the quality of teaching is really bad. recently online exams were counducted in our college and teachers have done disaster in assigning grades to us. for the same answer different students are getting different marks.
the placement record is becoming better day by day. recently i have heard that three seniors of our's have been placed in the offline campus placement with a really good package. and this year placements are goof enough.
we are not recieving what we are giving. th eteachers are not good enough, some are really good but some are really bad. also the hostel is really bad. initially we had to face a lot of problems there.
campus life is good enough as we have a good environment in our collefe. there are a few canteens, and clubs like drama, dance, music, etc. also there are various sports and there is a gym also in our campus.
the college is overall good but we are actually not getting what we deserve. we all have worked so hard to reach here but now what we are receiveing doesnt worth that hard work. its not upto our expectations.
All facilities are good except washrooms . Hostel rooms are quite small and some classes are not according to strength of so many students. The class have chairs and hostel rooms are too conjusted especially girls
Quite strict and regular. Exams are taken very seriously and actually most important than anything else. The paper set is also tough as compared to other colleges and the cg system too is harder than others.
Good record. The ECE and Car placement are much better but overall improvement in placement. Thks time avg package was also higher than others and I think more emphasis on practical work is required . Then it's good
Yes money is worth
Quite good but better funds for fests required
Good decent college
NIT Jalandhar considers the OBC-NCL rank for admission under the OBC category, not the CRL rank. If you applied under the OBC-NCL category, your admission will be based on your OBC rank. However, meeting the cutoff is essential, so check the official JoSAA counseling cutoffs for eligibility.
The Production Engineering branch is a great option to consider at NIT Jalandhar, NIT Calicut, and NIT Kurukshetra.
At NIT Calicut, the Production Engineering program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in mathematics, science, and engineering fundamentals. The program focuses on developing students' skills in areas like manufacturing systems, quality control, and supply chain management. With a sanctioned intake of 59 students, the program offers a great student-faculty ratio, allowing for personalized attention and mentorship.
Similarly, at NIT Jalandhar, the Industrial and Production Engineering program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in the industry. The program covers a wide range of topics, including manufacturing processes, production planning, and control systems.
NIT Kurukshetra also offers a strong Production Engineering program, with a focus on developing students' skills in areas like manufacturing technology, industrial engineering, and quality control
Considering these options over a tier 2 college is a great idea. NITs are reputable institutions that offer high-quality education, excellent faculty, and great placement opportunities. While tier 2 colleges may also offer good programs, the NITs have a distinct advantage when it comes to reputation, faculty quality, and placement records. So, if you have the opportunity to join any of these NITs, it's definitely worth considering.
