For lateral entry in SLIET, admission can be taken after completing a diploma course. For lateral entry, no exam is required . However, as per the admission policy, admission is given through vertical promotion.

Eligibility criteria for admission through lateral entry:

• After 10th class one has to do diploma course.
• The diploma course should be in engineering specialization.
• After completing the diploma course, admission can be taken in B.Tech through lateral entry.
• Students taking admission through lateral entry get the opportunity to study directly in the second year of engineering.
