JEE Mains 2025 session 1 exam results are declared on Feb 11, 2025.
Infrastructure of nitj is quite good but not at the level of other top nit.from 2018, first year classes are conducted in science block which has decent classroom with all the required facilities like green boards, smart boards, lights and ac. All the physics, chemistry, manufacturing and engineering graphics lab is good. Library of nitj is quite big but not so advanced especially the main library.WiFi of nitj is worst,it doesn't give speed to download a movie until you stay net the IT building.
The only thing I want to say that you have to work hard on your own to secure a good CGPA because the faculties are only busy in completing their syllabus. Some faculties are good if you ask your doubts he/she will give you a brilliant explanation unless and until you ask. No, our curriculum is not updated but the curriculum changes from the previous years like our seniors have to study biology also but now it has been removed. You are the only one who have to develop yourself for placement.
Placement of some of the branches like CSE,ECE,ME is decent enough. Highest package in both CSE and ECE is 42 lakhs this year which is quite good. The highest package of ME is 12 lakhs in the Honda R&D company and the placement percentage in ME last year is 100% which is very good. But for other branches the average package is also good enough.
I think the b.tech coarse is value for money. But the tuition fees varies according to your family income. the original tuition fees for one semester is 62500 inr and 25000 mess charges. If you work hard and develop good skills and learn extra coarses you will definitely get a decent placement.
Campus life is too good. Here are a number of clubs where you will engage yourself in extra curricular activities and develop your skills. Mess food of Bh1 is better as compared to bh2 & bh5. In bh1 & bh2 there are 4 roommates but the room is good enough but in bh5 there are 2 roommates in a very small room. Bh1 & bh5 for veg and bh2 for non veg.
At last I only want to say that choose your college wisely top nits are better than this. But if you come to this college you will enjoy your hostel life, clubs ,events like techniti and utkansh. During exam time everyone is in the hectic schedule but after that you will enjoy your life.
Infrastructure is good. Lecture Halls and theatre are quite large and spacious . Library is also big but lacks some things . Snackers canteen is quite large and modern . Athletics ground lacks flood lights but is large.
Academics is satisfactory. Teacher do not make you study each and every topic but you have to focus on your study and you yourself is responsible for your own grades and CGPA. Teachers have quite an experience to teach and are patient. LIBRARY BIS ALOS well equipped with books.
Placements are decent. CSW as always have a large contribution towards the overall placements records of the college. ECE and IT department students are also well placed those who deserves. Core brances like ME, EE and CE lies behind in comparison to other branches but placements are quite decent.
Value for money is lacking
Campus Life is good.
Overall rating is quite decent.
Wifi in hostel in not reached to all students the range comes to only 6 rooms of hostel. And there is lan connection in only one hostel and most of the time it doesn't work properly. Tge hostel rooms are pretty good but for 1st year their are only 4 seaters for boys and for girls its upto its size there are 5 seaters 2 seaters.
The academics are good. The curriculum is up to date the proffesors also try their level best to make tje students understand the concepts and all. And they also support us in our other activities and encourage us.
The placements is the only thing for which u can join this college the rest is all shit. For cse the average package is about 13 lakhs which is excellent. And for last year the mechanical had 100% placements with average package of 6 lakhs.
The hostel charges are expensive. The smart boards does not work properly.
1st year has been restricted till 6 pm for first 4 months and till 9 for rest of the year. From 2 nd year onwards you have no time limits for boys and for girls it is upto 10pm. So if you think you are ok with it then you can take this college
The placements are really good the rest are all shit. You can get a good exposure if you are interested. There are many teams and clubs to join it is upto you which you would choose and move in it. All the best.
All the infrastructure is sufficient though.Lecture Classes are also having almost all facilities from ACs to SMART tvs, though network is very poor.Wifi is not good. Cleanliness in classes is good.Food is also hygienic.Overall campus is good but a swimming pool is missing, also Gym is not much good.Almost all sports are available.
Curriculum is good and as the institute is institute of national importance,it stands on it perfectly in the field of academics.Various conferences are held regularly.Soft skill development is also focused upon greatly.
This year placements rose dramatically.Average salary rose from 6lacs to 11 lacs. This credit goes of course to academic skills but also soft skill teachings which are focused very much upon.A good alumini network also promotes it.
Yes, studying in such a prestigious institution and you keep getting a lot of scholarships here but not for everyone, you need to prove your mettle for genuine scholarships.
Dispensary and ambulance facilities are great and if you are a HOSTELEIR you are going to spend your best four years (though expected) here.Everyone is supportive no discrimination of any kind, till you are one doing it.Stay humble and everyone will be supportive
Seniors are best here, you will not feel homesick, every senior will treat you like sibling.Come and be a part of great family of NITJ
It improved a lot as i revived feedback from seniors. New lecture theaters are good. IT building gives you access to college systems but only up to 5 pm. Talking about library, reserved section is good but other part is pathetic. Reading room is also got some old furniture.
It improved in academics also. They are focusing on multidisciplinary system. Students now can degree in pursue minor degree in any department irrespective of their major. More elective courses been added
Placements are mostly in the tech sector. According to pass out students only few core companies visit campus. But in tech students are getting CTC up to 40 LPA. Student of other branches also apply for tech companies.
If you are a not category student then you have to pay tuition fee of 62500 and 25000 mess fee too and it is hard for you to get a scholarship also if your family income is less than 5 Lakh.
It is in outskirts of the jalandhar city so, there is no hustle and bustle nearby but, you can have fun in city. Campus is complete ragging free and safe. Special bus facilities are provided to first year student to visit city
NIT Jalandhar considers the OBC-NCL rank for admission under the OBC category, not the CRL rank. If you applied under the OBC-NCL category, your admission will be based on your OBC rank. However, meeting the cutoff is essential, so check the official JoSAA counseling cutoffs for eligibility.
The Production Engineering branch is a great option to consider at NIT Jalandhar, NIT Calicut, and NIT Kurukshetra.
At NIT Calicut, the Production Engineering program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in mathematics, science, and engineering fundamentals. The program focuses on developing students' skills in areas like manufacturing systems, quality control, and supply chain management. With a sanctioned intake of 59 students, the program offers a great student-faculty ratio, allowing for personalized attention and mentorship.
Similarly, at NIT Jalandhar, the Industrial and Production Engineering program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in the industry. The program covers a wide range of topics, including manufacturing processes, production planning, and control systems.
NIT Kurukshetra also offers a strong Production Engineering program, with a focus on developing students' skills in areas like manufacturing technology, industrial engineering, and quality control
Considering these options over a tier 2 college is a great idea. NITs are reputable institutions that offer high-quality education, excellent faculty, and great placement opportunities. While tier 2 colleges may also offer good programs, the NITs have a distinct advantage when it comes to reputation, faculty quality, and placement records. So, if you have the opportunity to join any of these NITs, it's definitely worth considering.
