The college infrastructure is awesome. There are basket ball court, gymnasium hall, tennis court and many more for playing and fitness. The hostels are available for both boys and girls. Hostels are clean, hygienic and are well maintained.
The study is good here, as there are all the facilities are available for studying. The lecture halls are smart and are equipped with projectors. The faculty helps lot in providing knowledge about various subjects and latest technologies. The syllabus is updated.
I am pursuing B.Tech from this college. All the top companies visit the campus for hiring students. Being a NIT, companies like amazon, microsoft and google recruit students giving average package of 6-7 LPA. Overall, the placements are good.
The fees is quite affordable. The fee structure varies according to the categories. For SC, it is 13,000 and for general it is 70,000 per semester. I feel that the money is worth as we are getting all the facilities and knowledge.
The college life is wonderful. There are different clubs for the development of our skills. There are canteens providing us different varieties of food. Overall, the college is outstanding.
My experience is awesome so far in this college. I highly recommend this college to all.
Concrete labs were equipped. Quality and quality of food served at mess were good. A big auditorium might help as the existing one have very less capacity. Hostels were quite clean and well maintained.
Academics quality are below expectation. The recruitment process of faculty were below standard. Lab assistant were not good enough to help out the laboratory but had enough time for self study and well maitained library.
Placement were quite, numbers of IT companies visits every year. Companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Tata Project, L&T visits every year and take lots of students. Overall placement of all the department were good.
This is awesome since we have gymnasium hall ,basketball court, tennis court , foot ball ground etc .for playing games and fitness . Also we have open air theater at top of megha boys hostel as well as in college ground too so that cultural activities can be done their.
This is good since we have all the necessary infrastructure for all departments , practical labs ,and for engineering drawing subjects we have separate rooms which open all the time so that we can make eg sheets . The faculty helps lot in semester labs and curriculum but some use ppts which is not good for mechanical students .
Being an NIT almost all companies recruit us such as Microsoft , Samsung , reliance . And for mechanical engineers Honda recruit us and provide a package of 10.5 lakh maximum . The core teams of mechanical such as daksh, aavishkar, and periant which helps in placement since most of the company allow only team members to get placement in their company
This is good because we are charged different from different categories such as for ST category it's 12500per semester and for General it is 70000per semester but hostel fee structure is same for all students . But we get enough knowledge and experience so our money is worth.
Outstanding college life because we have placement on our skills and for overall development we have dramatics clubs, dance club, debate clubs ,and for doing social service the prayaas family works a lot to give education to poor and underprevilaige childrens
I have awesome college experience and recommend you all to get education in this college
Not good at all.there are not proper rooms for students in first year 5 girls are kept in a room its like they are living in dharamshala not a college and again satff is also less mess issue is there classes are good but again no maintenence for sports complex
Not up to the mark .teachers are good but again comes the things on facilities they are not up to the mark our labs do not have machines no practical knoweledge is given ony focuses on theory part and all.
Plavements are not that gud rather the money tgey ask for and the placements they give are really not wrth it i ptefer or suggest to people not to come here and join some bttr institte and yes this place will not end your life where u want.
N9t worth it
Not that good
Overall not a worth it place to come
As here the region is punjab and as well known by everyone it is too hygienic era in the north india. So, I'm proud to be here just by seeing it's well inner situation. And the classrooms with our partners make them blissful, have smart classes, projectors and alot many more.
As i am studying ECE, just because of the technical part, and as well as here i am because here ECE and CSE are almost equal in place of standards. And the way of the teaching is too good, as well as understood by all, and the supportive facility is there.
Placements is actually i suppose not depend on the college, it is basically in the hand of the student, who teaches himself for that, and prepared self from last many years for that particular direction. Placements, i think not only depend on studies, it is overall your personality being checked there and then being graded. Salary is not matter, but the satisfaction is mandatory and here everyone have that.
Here, the fee and and all other expenses are accordingly setup. Not too much hih and not too much low. As everone can afford it. And here, and the relaxations are also provided there according to your income src.
Student campus as alright, have facilities of basketball cout, tennis court, badminton, gym hall, restaurent of different types food availabe there. Park is also there, and a beautiful surrounding with everywhere alot of flowers. And a greenery.
Finally, i would like to say i recommend you that college, be cool, relax, and stay away from all worries, do hard labour as it is the only way to get somewhere and make yourself to stand alone. Stay happy.
This is good since we have many building for all departments such as lecture theaters, science block for first year students , practical labs for all departments etc . In boys hostel we have OAT at rooftop and gym etc.
It is good since all the faculties do their best to provide us knowledge but some use ppts by which we face some problem but they make it understandable for us . And our curriculum is updated at every semester and we study only that thing that we need.
They provide us many companies for placement but in my branch less core companies recruit us but our faculty and placement representative try their best . But we have good package for CSE students and ece students.
This is good since the hostels facilities are good. In hostels we have sports ground too for playing volleyball ,tennis etc. In campus we have gymnasium hall, basketball court football ground which is also necessary for physical fitness.
This is awesome since we have all the required departments and sports ground for physical fitness, and we have gym also for both boys and girls . For cultural program seminar hall is uesd . The faculty member also support for technical fest.
The college life is unique and awesome
Facilities and equipment are sufficient as labs are fully equipped. Most classrooms and laboratorie are well maintained, equipped with smart boards and blackboards. Hostel facility for first year is okay as wifi connections are weak but LAN is provided okay. Living spaces are clean and the food provided here is hygienic. The hostel committees are formed to ensure the hostel facilities are up t the mark. Libraries are equipped with sufficient books. sports centres are sufficient for the athletics
I am currently in the first year of pursuing chemical engineering. The branch seemed interesting to me because i'm interested in the research field and chemical has a lot of scope in research. My curriculum is updated every year to match the needs for the outside environment work. The subjects that i study does gives me in depth knowledge but at the same time self skill set is the main thing that makes us job ready.
In 2019 The quality of the placements have been satisfactory. 472 students were placed. Highest salary package was 39.12LPA which was offered to CSE and ECE. Average salary offered to 7.55LPA. College is supportive however i'm currently in first year so i do not know about placement process.
The course cost me 2.5 lakhs INR per year. The value-for-money is satisfactory as the knowledge as i receive is good. Hostels are okay (better than how're portrayed by everyone) This does feel like worth it.
Well, the only bad thing i found was the hostel timings. In campus timings are also restricted and it feels absurd. Apart from that the canteens, the people are remarkable. There are a lot of clubs for dance, theatre, music, innovation, cars, robotics that everybody can join if they're eager to learn. Location is safe and emergencies are dealt in a systematic way.
This is awesome and I am glad to say that our college is second rank in beautiness. We have enough departments faculties for us . We have separate halls for cultural and technical fest . We have seminar hall in all the department so that we can have a get together with our seniors and juniors and faculty members
It is good since professors are helpful and knowledgefull person they provide practical knowledge too . And recently our faculties provide smart televisions in lecture theatres so that there is no need for projectors to provide visual examples .
For ipe students we don't have enough core companies to recruit us but the department and placement representative works on it so that they can get new companies for our recruitment but we get in non core companies like Samsung etc.
It is good since we have all the necessary facilities for us such as well developed hostels open air theater at the top of boys hostel for celebration . Gymnasium and gym for physical fitness and practical labs also for gaining practical knowledge.
This is awesome because many more buildings ,lecture theaters for all the students and this year we have smart televisions also which we sometimes use for watching cricket match too . Sports playground also for physical fitness.
My first experience in this college was awesome since we teach prayaas students so this make my experience much better than anyone else
Yes my college has all the necessary infrastructure and my college have different buildings for different departments . My college has all the necessary grounds such as football ground. The mega boys hostel has it's own open air theater.
I am a mechanical engineering student for this we have labs we have all the required equipments but in lecture theatres the professors deliver lecture in and since I am from Hindi medium so we have to face problem
Being a national importance college the placements are good not only for mechanical also for other branches we have Microsoft, relieance, Samsung etc. For our placements . Our college also focus on research and higher studies.
Good for boys hostel but it is valuable for girls hostel since they are accommodating 5 in a room and they have to stay in hostel since there is no pg near the college but food quality is good and we get healthy food.
This is awesome since here the weather conditions are good . The rainfall can occur any season even in summer too . Our campus it second beautiful capmus in all NIT s the night scenario of our college is awesome.
When I came first I this college for admission I not only get good seniors but get good faculty advisor like kainth sir of chemistry department so I admitted here.
Yes the college has all the necessary infrastructure. It is equipped with latest equipments. With new Department and courses coming in, the institute is progressing greatly. The labs and WiFi etc facility is good enough. The living spaces are clean and hygienic. Though the maintenance of building is somewhat required.
Academics, you know, something you have to deal on your own. Many new ideologies and innovative measures have been implemented and are improving the atmosphere. Though, it would take some time but in near future it will turn out be amongst best colleges. The curriculum is being updated after every few years which is good. It helps making people job-ready. The quality of teachers is not that great but a few new faculties and even older ones help in keeping name of the institute.
Placements are good specially for branches are CS/IT, ECE, ICE. Even other branches have shown substantial growth in placements and things are going good. The Highest package has been around 40 lpa(for CS/IT, ECE). Average package is around 6 lpa.
It truly is a value for money. Though the fees can be degremented and students can be relieved. Food and hostels are good in accordance to fees paid.
Campus life is good- with buzz everyday. Things are improving day in day out. There would be a few problems but that's with each institute.
The experience has been great. Do join any club it would make your stay memorable. Enjoy your stay and do give some time for your skill development and academics.
NIT Jalandhar considers the OBC-NCL rank for admission under the OBC category, not the CRL rank. If you applied under the OBC-NCL category, your admission will be based on your OBC rank. However, meeting the cutoff is essential, so check the official JoSAA counseling cutoffs for eligibility.
The Production Engineering branch is a great option to consider at NIT Jalandhar, NIT Calicut, and NIT Kurukshetra.
At NIT Calicut, the Production Engineering program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in mathematics, science, and engineering fundamentals. The program focuses on developing students' skills in areas like manufacturing systems, quality control, and supply chain management. With a sanctioned intake of 59 students, the program offers a great student-faculty ratio, allowing for personalized attention and mentorship.
Similarly, at NIT Jalandhar, the Industrial and Production Engineering program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in the industry. The program covers a wide range of topics, including manufacturing processes, production planning, and control systems.
NIT Kurukshetra also offers a strong Production Engineering program, with a focus on developing students' skills in areas like manufacturing technology, industrial engineering, and quality control
Considering these options over a tier 2 college is a great idea. NITs are reputable institutions that offer high-quality education, excellent faculty, and great placement opportunities. While tier 2 colleges may also offer good programs, the NITs have a distinct advantage when it comes to reputation, faculty quality, and placement records. So, if you have the opportunity to join any of these NITs, it's definitely worth considering.
