College facilities are great with world class infrastructure but still I feel that computer labs should be maintained properly else infrastructure is great .In class rooms we have projectors boards with well furnished furniture .
I am electronic and communication engineering student and believe me electronics branch has one of the most strict faculty in whole college .Teaching quality depends on teacher some are exceptionally good .
Placements are great for circuital branches (cse ,ece,ee) for other branches it is average and other depends on hardwork of student. No college can guarantee you placement until you do companies do come here but in the end it's all your hardwork. For statistics of packages you can go through official website or the LinkedIn profile of training and placement cell nit hamirpur
For a not person who don't claim any scholarship it cost around 2-2.5 lakh including the the hostel fees and all other spending ( including parties and other stuff)and for other students 1. Whose family income is greater than 1 lakh and less than 5 lakhs he has to pay 1/3 of tution fees and full hostel fees hwich depends on odd and even semesters 2. Whose family income is less than 1lakh don't have to pay any tution fees just hostel fees and same goes for sc/st students as well
College campus is very beautiful especially for those who are no from Himachal provided with all sports facilities from table tennis to lawn tennis everything.
College may help you by providing opportunities but in the end it's your hardwork which lands you in your dream job.
The Infrastructure of the college is quite good, the college provides all the necessary labs ,sports facilities and the many places in the campus to hang out. Since the college is locate at top of a hill therefore the scenery and beauty of the college worth seeing. There are well maintained classrooms and lecture halls. Food of the campus is quite genuine.
I am pursuing my b-tech in Electronics and communication engineering and can say that the quality of the education quite impressive while the facilities are well trained and experienced . Talking about the curriculum , is the same as in most of the government colleges in India , decent .
The Placement is good enough. Many companies provide placements in campus and children approach of campus too. The percentage of the placement are 90 per cent and above for the top branch like cs, ece, ee, mechanical and 80 per cent and above for the rest.
There are many categories on which the fee depends. The General category fee for each semester is approx 76000 rupeess.
The college has it's own cultural and technical fest called as Hillfair and Nimbus respectively. And there are many fun activies organised by the college, clubs and society and the sports authority.
Our college infrastructure have all the equipment and facilities . Our college is very neat and clean no campaign with our college in cleaness. The facilities we have in our classroom is very good faculty are awesome.
I'm studying Mechanical engineering in this college faculty are awesome they teaching well . In one semester we should give mid semester exam and end semester exam. Mid semester exam is of 30 marks and end semester exam is of 50
The placement are good in this college. In Mechanical department the highest package is 32 lakh per anum and the average package is 9.8 lakh per anum . Percentage of students were placed is 88.7. Overall placement should be good
Campus life is very good atmosphere are good and the weather is very beautiful you live every moment and create good memories
The college has a good campus greenery wise. But infrastructure wise it may lack a bit. Some new buildings have very good infrastructure but you will also find very old buildings with old equipments labwise. Classrooms are good enough. You get full wifi access in lecture hall and some palces in the campus, libraries are really well maintained with wifi and ACs for summer. There is also a big ground and a student activity centee with gym and other indoor sports.Overall it has everything you need.
The curriculum really needs to be updated, which I think will from next year. But even though curriculum changes you should know that it all depends on the teacher who is teaching you. He/ She can make a easy subject hell for you or a tough subject easy for you. So just pray you get a good one. Or even if you don't get one just obediently follow them. You should keep in mind that whatever you will study mostly will be your own effort and no one will help much.
A good record of placement considering the recession going on. But still depends on your skill . Don't know about the average salary but you will find people here having very good packages and very bad ones too. Just focus on your skills and maybe you will getplaced in a good company on-campus.
I have to pay around 2 lac per year (general ) which is better than some private colleges plus you are getting that NIT ka tag. The ROI is good for upper branches but for lower branches it depends on the individual. Plus himachal is a bit costly area so you should manage your money properly.
This is the main attraction of this college if I have to say. Beautiful view of nature(especially in monsoon) , locations like oat for seeing the sunset , sac to just get your mind off from academics , the hostels itself has some good things instore and many things which will not bore you .
Nit Hamirpur has one of the best insfrasture available in the state .It is fully equipped with modern technologies Classrooms are fully modernised with wifi connectivity and each class room has smart boards .
As i am currently persuing btech in computer science so our curriculum is well designed keeping in mind the industry requirement .Teaching staff is highly educated and skiiled in their feild and encourage student to learn new skills .
Talking about placements it is one of the best in the country Big tech companies like microsoft, goldman sachs , salesforce come for oncampus recuirment and offer high packages to students . Avg Package is about 16 lakhs per annum for Cse branch and overall it is about 8-10 lakhs .
cost of studying in nit hamirpur is quiet low as compare to other private engineering colleges .For each semester tution fees is about 75000 but it is not for all there are fees relaxation also on basis of your family income.
Nit Hamirpur has the most beautiful campus in the country. weather of nit hamirpur is one of the best thing it located at a distance of 2-3 km from main city so it is a peacfull place . Here students take part in various activites like sports also students organize Its cultural fest Hillfair which has its own aura.
Overall i would like to say that if you are looking for a good engineering college in north india then you should definetly take a look at Nit Hamirpur . You will experience best college life there is everything a student need in its life like good campus ,high placements etc.
Good infrastructure and very clean . There is a student activity center which has sports organization and gym .campus is well equipped with wifi and hostel ls are also clean . There are various food outlets
I am studying BTech in computer science and engineering.Quality of teaching is average like any other college with ppts and material.Curriculum is kind of updated and faculty is good atleast in our department
Average placements. Almost CSE people get placed . Core placements are little hard to get. I don’t have the idea of average salary but it’s probably 6-8lac/annum. I am yet to sit in placements so i don’t know much about it yet
It costs me around 1.15 lac per sem and it is cheaper than other colleges
Campus life is good and safe
Infrastructure of Nit Hamirpur is quite fascinating. College has most of the useful buildings such as departmental buildings, auditorium, sports ground, etc. We have well equipped labs but instruments there might be old.
I am a student of the Architecture branch branch and as of i have experienced most of the teachers here are good, calm and put efforts in teaching. The curriculum is not much updated. From 2nd year onwards students are taught main stream subjects.
Nit Hamirpur holds a good record of placements. Some big companies visit us regularly and hire many students eg. Microsoft, Samsung, etc. The average package of the college is nearly about 13 lakhs per annum.
Infrastructure of our college is a good one. College provides shops for nearly all the needs of the students, from fast food to daily need ones too. Our college also provides the medical facilities 12x7.
The Academics part of the college is better than the average. For the first year students it might not be much benificial as they are taught all subjects but from 2nd year onwards main stream subjects are taught only.
Nit Hamirpur has had a good placement record over the past years. As the statistics for the last years have said the highest package reached upto 1.9 crores. The average package remains accross 12-13 Lpa.
Nit Hamirpur has a well developed infrastructure in terms of academic buildings, library, reading halls, canteens and a dispensary too. It has a big ground, sports activity centre, an open air theatre.
I am an student of Computer Scinece and Engeneering branch academics in our college is quite average. Quality of teaching is good but in first year students are taught all the subjects irrespective of their branch which needs an improvement.

Nit Hamirpur has a vast campus area of approximatly 350+acers. The campus can fulfill most of your necessity as it provides many shops and cafes. Every year students have their own hostels axcept the fisrt year and second year girls which live in same hostel.
I am an student of Computer Science and engeneering branch. First year students have their classes in Lecture hall while all the other years have them mostly in their departments. and most of the departments have their own buildings.
Placements at Nit Hamirpur is quite good. Students can easily beg packages of approximately 20 Lakhs per annum. This year average for Computer Science students was approximately 17 Lpa with an overall average of 12 Lpa.
With 81.69 percentile in JEE Main under the General EWS category, getting ECE in JMI, AMU, JNU, or NIT Hamirpur would be quite difficult. For these institutes, the cutoff for ECE usually stays higher, often above 90–95 percentile for EWS candidates. JMI and AMU tend to have competitive cutoffs because of limited seats, while JNU and NIT Hamirpur also require a higher percentile. However, you still have good chances in other NITs, IIITs, or state-level colleges where the cutoff percentile is comparatively lower.

With your CRL rank of 212093 and OBC rank of 72722, it's unlikely you'll get admission to Mechanical Engineering at NIT Hamirpur. The OBC closing rank for Mechanical Engineering at NIT Hamirpur is typically much lower, around 20,000-40,000. While a rank of 212093 might be good enough for some NITs, particularly those with less competitive programs, it's unlikely to be competitive for Mechanical Engineering at NIT Hamirpur.
