1. Presently I am studying in this institute and want to say that Nit Infrastructure Is Avrage To Good. In my Opinion. 2. Nit jsr classrooms are neat and clean and well organized. Laboratories are in good condition except not highly appreciated. Library is available here and open for anytime. Sports and Hostels in good shape. But maintaining its own value and it's living room are quite small but good. Food hygiene is good in few products.
Quality of teaching and technology you will get here. This is the best part of the college. It's curriculum is updated and all teachers will support you. Not is everything okay with all departments. Cse is well with you guys. If you're coming here for Mechanical and Electrical this is best. Then other departments will upset you in curriculum wise.
Placement is better than some other NITs and some newly made iits as well. Overall placement is good here but the placement and average packages solely depends on the branch. The advantage of NIT jamshedpur is it surrounded by some big and small industries like Tata steel and etc. The highest package of NIT jamshedpur in 2019 is 39 LPA. Average package of any department is around 4.5 - 5.0 LPA.
The bachelor of engineering course fee is around 500000 Lakhs per annum.
Campus life is great here you will get some unforgettable experience in jamshedpur . The cultural fest and all extra activity give you more memories.
Go for it you want.
The present infrastructure: Hostels, Classrooms, examination halls, laboratories & equipment, library & learning resources, computational facilities, workshop facilities, buildings, faculty chambers, research & ICT infrastructure, sports facilities, facilities for student activities, faculty & staff quarters and basic amenities (Water, electricity, roads, sewage disposal, internet facility, and ecology balance) are not adequate to fulfil the requirements of increased capacity expansion.
The institute is committed to academic excellence and good governance. NIT Jamshedpur was ranked overall 78th for 2015-16 among the best 100 engineering institutes in the country by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for higher education institutions approved by the Minister of Human Resources Development, Government of India. There are 12 departments with 7 Under-graduate(UG) programmes, 23 Post-graduate(PG) programmes and Ph.D. Programmes.
Students are usually interested in placement statistics while checking out institutes for admission. With a competitive industry, it is important to know how well an institute does during placement season. NIT Jamshedpur is one of the popularly known NITs with many students seeking admissions into the B.Tech courses offered. Companies like oracle, microsoft, LnT, vista, Zebronics, accenture etc. Are the primer choice os the students here for the placements.
No, as my description about its infrastructure and academic, and not only about this college but for any NITs( not IITs) cost per year you pay will be much higher than the facilities you avail whether with the perspective of infrastructure or academic units or hostel amenities. You have to make your mind according to the circumstances.
Every college comes with its history and its culture and people's mindset comes with the region it belongs and the person around which we live in. So, in consideration of all such features, it's best for its freedom and facilities with human friendly environment without any fear of ragging whereas the worst is if you are fond of technical equipments then it's not the one for you. All the students, teachers and support staffs are friendly. It supports emergency conditions by ambulance and aid kit.
Irrespective of its infrastructure, placements, academics, every college has pros and cons. So,in the end if you want to enjoy college life without having any ragging life, NIT Jamshedpur is the best option between all the North-East Colleges.
The best thing about mega NIT Jamshedpur is it's mega hostel and mega mess. It consists 7th floor with lift and single room with balcony. When it's come to academic infrastructure this college lacks as the buildings are very old. Library has a wifi connection which works pretty well. Room has LAN connection which is a damn saviour. Computer centre is really impressive. Laboratories and classrooms need to be renovated. Overall, it's pretty good
Being an institute of national importance, the professors here are really well trained and cooperative as well. Quality of teaching is same as that of some other NIT's. The college really appreciates extra curricular activities that can help in placements.
NIT Jamshedpur is well known for its placement statistics. This year highest package goes to 43 lakhs by samsung to two computer science engineering students. From all the north indian NIT's, it is best when it comes to placement. Almost all students got placed this year from all branches. Average salary is also not that bad. One can easily check tha stats in tha official website about placement.
On an average, for one semester tuition fee is almost 65k, you can easily go through the official website. The money is completely worth it, as the the quality of education they provide, the hostel, the infrastructure especially the placement packages everything is worth it
Campus Life is best here, there are various clubs to provide exposure to students to inbuilt the skills . Culfest which is the biggest cultural fest in north India is organised, various students from different colleges come to participate in this fest. Various clubs are there for dance, dramatics, art, singing. Besides this various technical clubs are also there to enrich your technical knowledge.
On an average, this college being an institute of national importance is best in terms of placement packages . The hostels are pretty well here. The clubs and technical clubs provide exposure to new comer. Its an antiragging college situated at just 4kms away from the main city
The college is good abs has good infrastructure the hostel and academic building is new and so it is good. the classroom does not use any smartboard and there is no wife in first year hostel but there is wife in libraries
Teachers and seniors are supportive and provide notes and provide us with books also . the curriculum is updated and will help in gate exams and there are my guest lectures organized from which you can learn about recent things
Placements here are good . the average package is around 7.5 lakhs and highest package is around 48 lakhs for CS students given by microbiology. It is easy to find internship here due to many companies around college
Value of money here is good because most of the nit and out have same fees and the fees is 2.04 lakh rupees per year and campus could have been maintained clean. Mess food is also very good and hygiene.
My college has well- maintained hostel where each one has his own room.We are also having mega-mess...There is free WiFi in hostel... Hygiene food is given in mess.We are also having a good academic building.
Since I m doing civil engineering in the College of national importance,I feel very happy to be here. Moreover the quality of teaching is also very good here..We are also having labs related to our core which seems to be very helpful for placement.
Seeing the national importance of our college many big companies try to visit our college to recruit candidates .The big MNCs like Microsoft,Amazon etc are also visited here. This year the highest given is of 43 lakhs.
I think the cost per year is worth because we are also given fee remission as per our economic condition. It Is also that some more facilities should be provided with respect to the fee.Our each semester tuition fee is ₹62500.
My college campus is not so good.It doesn't have even a single good cafe..One canteen is here whose food is not so good.It has very large land area but according to that our campus is not so developed.
When I was in first year ,I took part in roadies (cultural event) which made me acquainted with many new ones ..and I learn many things .... from that experience.
College infrastructure is not so good upto now but it is goimg to get better as soon as we move into the new academic building. The college hostels are very good and labs are being renovated. Sorts facilities are average.
I am studying civil engineering because I wanted a government's job. The curriculum is updated and there are seminars that are conducted time to time to help students get knowledge about recent development.
Placements for other branches leaving civil engineering is good but if you are good you will get placed. The average salary is around 7 lakh rupees. The college holds various placements session which will help students
The course costs around 2lakh 8 thousand rupees per year. Its like any iit or nit fees. I think i am getting money worth. I think that because the food in mess is much better than any other colleges.
The college campus is full with flora and fauna. The students teachers and staff are very supportive. The location of college is good and main market is also near the college. The collge is safe and it can handel emergency.
The college will increase in its nirf ranking bit do not go by it you can come to this college if you want good placements.
The college is not best on the basis of infrastructure but the college have all the necessary infrastructure. The college is average on the basis of facilities and equipment. The facilities in our classroom is smartboard, whiteboard, proper bench, table. The facilities in our laboratory is average.the hostel has24hours lan facilities which help students in proper education.
My branch is production and industrial engineering, these branch is very much related to mechanical engineering. Since I am very much interested in mechanics part therefore I have take this branch. This branch offers very good placement.
This college is known for its placement, the college have average package around 8 lakh. Last year the highest package has gone around 39 lakhs, and this year till now the highest package has gone around 43.5 lakhs.
Everyyear I pay around 216000 to the college. As compared to other nit these college have some what more worth .
The campus life is worth good. There are so many club ,around 60 in our college, every year the college organises cultural fest, sports fest as well as technical fest.
The college does have necessary infrastructure but it’s not well maintained there is a new academic building that has been built and will be in use soon the labs are being renovated the sports facilities are average
I am studying metallurgy and materials engineering at nit Jamshedpur the quality of teaching depends on teacher to teacher the curriculum is very updated and it makes you job ready . I am studying metallurgy because it has good research prospects
The placements are good here. The average package is around 7 lakhs. The best placements are in computer the average package of computer is around10 lakhs. The placements process are easy and pleasant .
It’s like all other nit or iit, the semster fees is 1lakh 4 thousand the mess fees is 16 thousand and the hostel fees is 42 thousand rupees . I think I am heeting my money worth but only if the labs were better it would be good
The campus is good but it’s not well maintained. The students teachers and staff are very supportive it is located near to the main market you can get transport easily the campus is very safe and it can handle emergencies
The college is good and you can prefer it over any private college the only branch where we don’t have good placements is civil but it’s like that in every other college the college will be getting better once we start teaching in the new academic building
For the time being, classes are held in not very mind-blowing classrooms but the new academic building is under construction and we will soon begin to have our classes there. Mess food is clean and hygienic, we get a lot of variety as well.
Professors here are helpful. Some are strict about discipline. Some try to be our friends while teaching so that we could feel more connected to the subject. Moreover, the type and quality of professors may very with branches, but overall all the professors here well qualified and have deep knowledge of their subjects.
Nit Jamshedpur is in the top 5 among nits in terms of placement. I think nothing more is required. But still, for your knowledge let me tell you the placement cell here is superb and does its work just right.
Being a government institution, fees are decent. And when compared to other private colleges, it's worth it. We get a lot of exposure here. We have industrial visits, real-life projects and many events and competitions which forces us to get the very best out of ourselves .
Hostels are great. Staff is friendly. Cleanliness is appreciable. Security is good within hostels. A lot of sports facilities. Badminton, cricket, basketball, table tennis, chess name any sport indoor/ outdoor you have it here.
It has almost all necessary infrastructure, and also new academic building is gonna make us happy& I think infrastructure is not like that I had expected but hostels and mess are too good. All living spaces are clean and the food are hygienic.
I am studying Metallurgy and materials engineering in this college because I get this branch of because of my rank but it not too bad. Quality of teaching is just good or we can say average. Yes I think my circulum is updated and includes all recent development in the field
The quality of placements of my college has been very good that is one of the reason I selected this college in my branch the placement is almost hundred percent at last year all eligible students are placed .
The course costed 104000 rupees per semester hostel fees 42,000 rupees per semester fees 16,000 rupees per semester I think I am not getting my money worth because the labs are not up to the mark and the college is not kept so clean
The campus life here is good because for boys there is no entry time they can move around anytime. The students teachers and support staff are very supportive here the college is located at 10 to 15 km away from market
Prefer this college over any private college because the placements there are very good the college has built a new academic building there is not much for sports in this college because there is no indoor Court for anything
With a SC rank of 18,188 under the Home State quota, it's unlikely you'll get any branch at NIT Jamshedpur, as the closing ranks for SC category are much lower (around 9,900 for the lowest branches).
Alternatives:
1. Other NITs: Look at newer NITs with higher SC category cutoffs (e.g., NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Nagaland).
2. CSAB Special Round: You can try for leftover seats in NITs or IIITs.
3. State Colleges: State government colleges may have more relaxed cutoffs.
4. Private Universities: Institutions like LPU, Chandigarh University, or UPES may be options.
While taking a gap year due to your father's illness is understandable, it might pose some challenges during placements.
Companies often prioritize consistent academic performance and a structured college experience. A gap year might raise questions in the minds of recruiters. However, this doesn't mean you cannot excel in placements.
Key factors to consider:
Focus on building a strong profile through academics, internships, projects, and soft skills. Your ability to effectively communicate your experiences and demonstrate your potential will be crucial in overcoming any initial reservations.
hope this helps you!!
Hello,
If you are a student from Delhi, you should enrol in CSE at IGDTUW; however, if you are from another state, you should enrol in ECE at NIT Jamshedpur. Both, however, provide a fantastic placement facility. IGDTUW charges less in tuition than NIT Jamshedpur. IGDTUW is the place to enrol if you're interested in college life, while NIT Jamshedpur is where you should enrol if you want to receive an exceptional education. The faculty of NIT Jamshedpur is superior than that of IGDTUW.
You need to have both an ECE and CS degree if you want to work in the IT sector.
And you can choose ECE if you wish to work in core ECE positions.
Thank You
