College infrastructure , facilities and equipments are not good . College has only 3 girls hostel which girls have to adjust …There are small small rooms in which 3-5 girls stay which creates suffocation and unhygienic environment
Academic pressure is more here as there is much competition between students …Teachers are also very strict .They don’t give relaxation to students if we see in a positive way then teachers teach very well and make our doubts clear and exams conducted here makes us ready for the job
Placements are good here …If you have good skills then you can achieve what you have dreamt of. Placement are excellent for computer science students and also for electronics and communication students
Campus life is awesome because this college have a beautiful campus close to nature . Very far from the city near to lakes and trees , this college have 20+ lakes and chaos beauty
Our college has all the basic necessary infrastrure and facilities. Our classroom has the normal boards and also has a projector in some of our classrooms. We have the largest digital library than the other nits, iits and gftis. We have a decent sports facilities and they are somewhat maintained. Our hostels are not that up to the mark.
I am currently in the 2nd year of the electrical department. Our professors are very helpful but our curriculum are not updated . It is only theoretical based and it doesnot include all the recent developments.
The quality of the placements at our college is increasing year after year. The percentage of the students were placed is 89.40% and the highest salary package offered was 80 LPA. It was offered to the CSE department. The average package offered was 14.39 LPA.

Fees is reasonable
Extremely good campus life. Students enjoy campus life along with studies getting all the facilities from the campus
Condition of girls hostel is very bad. They are not well maintained, Food there is very bad as well. Food is not hygenic and they don't maintain cleanliness at all. Condition of classroom is very poor as well. Laboratory is somewhat ok as compared to classroom.
Quality of teching is pathetic. I was a student of M.Tech Mechanical Engineering. I qualified GATE with 92 percentile marks. After seeing the review I went there. Faculty there manipulate students and torture them mentally. As per my knowledge in 3 years duration 4 students committed suicide. This is not normal I feel
During our time placement was very bad. only 40 percent students got placement. Placement project is very frustrating. Company used to come and didn;t schedule any interview properly. Students used to loose thieir hope
Waste of money and energy. My course used to cost 80k per year without hostel fees. I never felt I was getting my money's worth. The academic culture , deans threre was very toxic. They don't listen to students concern at all. Due to which so many students of NIT Silchar committed suicide
Have no well maintained campus only jungle is there what will be the campus life you can expect
In my final year M.Tech my supervisor gave me one difficult project which was been pending with PHD and some of B.Tech students since 3 years. As it required proper laboratory work I was struggling to meet supervisor's expectation as it was the time of COVID. He insulted me several times. Later with lot of struggle with small time frame I managed to validate the project successfullt then my supervisor gave my credit to his phd student and tortured me mentally.

Hello there,
With
79.75 percentile (OBC-NCL)
in JEE Mains, getting

is difficult for most branches under the
Other State
quota. However, if you are from
Assam (Home State)
, you may have a chance in lower-demand branches like
Mechanical or Civil Engineering
, especially in
CSAB special rounds
. Admission to top branches like CSE is unlikely.
