The campus looks so stunning that you can never forget it . If we talk about the facilities then each and everything is available . Also if you are bored with mess food then you can go for canteens(even in night ) for delicious food. Very nice environment.
You will get to connect with students who are focused and wants to grow in their life in every domain. The teachers and curriculum will also support you if you are deserving But be conscious about the academics and perform in that well, without fail.
Nit Rourkela placements have been great from past many years, a lot of students get ppo’s when they are doing their internships. The internships opportunities are also very high. In the overall placements process you need to be patient and focused to land into a good job.
????????
Infrastructure of the college is amazing. We have separate playgrounds for volleyball and badminton. Classes are well take care of, labs have ac and projectors. Ambulance facility is also there in case of emergency. Food in the hostel is good.
Teachers are educated and helpful towards student. I am doing btech(cse) and get every help from my faculty. They clear your doubts and make you understand the topic. Mid term and final term exam are of moderate level. Course curriculum is industry ready.
Placement is very good here. Around 80% student were placed who applied. Top recruiting companies like wipro, amazon, flipkart, byjus hire students. Highest package given was 30 lpa. Average package was around 6 lpa.
Overall infrastructure for college is very good, its a very beautiful campus you can never get bored of it. But again talkinh about Int. M.Sc. you will be very dissapointed whilst comparing to other B.Teach bramches. Hostels are great there are badminton courts and volleyball courts in all hostels. Food was also great in our time cant say for now. Hostels activities are very engaging intra hostel tournaments inter hostel tournaments and many more things.
The teaching staff is very professional and has very renowned professors all over India. The quality of education is really great. The course curriculum is mostly practical-based and helps students get ready for industry purposes and solve real-life problems with innovative solutions under the guidance of the professors. The semester exams are moderate to easy, and the pass percentage is around 80%.
The placements of my college are very good. The college offers an average package of 12 LPA and a median package of 11 LPA. The highest package of may college is 84 LPA. The placements rate is usually around 90%, but this year, due to recession, the percentage is quite low. Top tech companies visiting my college like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Barceleyes.
Good college.
Infrastructure is very good but the large batch size is putting a constraint. Some boys may be alloted the CDL campus which is about 10-15 mins of distance. This is because all the batches can't be accomodated in the main campus. Mess food is very good if compared to a lot of colleges.
Lecturers were excellent and very supportive and the faculties very well experienced and knowledgeable persons with good communication skills and principal is very much supportive with students they teach everything about mnc companies.
The quality of placement of this college is good.Placement facilities are available for only professional courses. The college is supporting their students for every process. As per my knowledge the average package of the students in professional courses is 15 lpa.
Infrastructure- The overall infrastructure of the campus is awesome. Equipped with elevators and air conditioners. There are 2 big sports field with 2 auditoriums. Hostels are also clean, the cleaning staffs come to clean the corridors daily
Im a student at NIT Rourkela and I can definitely say that the academic quality of this institute is top notch. The faculty are very learned people with degrees from IITs, IIMs, and many other foreign universities.
The placement scenario is not upto the mark considering the inflation this year, but in the upcomming years, the placement will become as good or better than the previous years. The maximum ctc could go upto 1cr.
This college has 2nd the largest campus in India after IIT kharagpur. College has all the facilities available. This college has a variety of branch so there will always crowd in the campus. Every week there will be some events by different clubs.
Teachers are well qualified and Knowledgeable. Curriculum is relevant and provides great opportunity for higher studies. Syllabus is research oriented. Semester exams are not so difficult it is easy to get pass but difficult to score excellent grade.
100 percent of students gets placement from M.tech. But average and the highest package was not so good. the highest was 15LPA and the lowest was 5.6LPA. Average is around 8.5 LPA. Most of them were placed in ed-teach companies.
As college is NIT which has high reputation in the whole country. So you expect the college is valueable not for money but for knowledge also. College has given good knowledge and experience to the students. Getting admission in the NIT IS also not possible for everyone.
Good infrastructure, all necessary facilities available. Classrooms are well equipped with ac, smartboards and projectors. Every room of the hostel is equipped with a LAN portal for accessing internet (though restrictions imposed). Every part of the campus is pretty well maintained and cleaned regularly. Food quality pretty good in terms of mess standard.
(As a student of EE) Curriculum is fast but manageable, overall decent proofs to be found. The library is well equipped with every necessary information. Rest of it totally depends on individuals self learning.
According to stats and seniors, placement scenerio and internship exposure is increasing every year. Highest salary near 53LPA, average about 20LPA. With added high amount of exposure acts as an additional advantage for the resume.
In terms of NIT and all the facilities available, the money spent will be quite worth it.
The best part of NIT Rourkela is the campus life. More than 80 clubs available and properly functioned. Students and companions are cooperative. Though location may be a big deciding factor as it is in outskirts of Odisha.
Nothing to add on.
The college have all the necessary infrastructure and equipment. It is one of the best college for engineering in the country. The library in the college is best. The classroom have all the facilities which includes smarboards and wifi. The living space is really clean and food here is hygienic.
I studied Mtech in mechanical engineering from here because of my interest in the field of engineering. The quality of teaching here is best. The curriculum updated every year and all this factor makes you job ready. I work for government after the course.
The quality of placement is best in our college. Almost every got placed in the company they desire. The average package was near 9-12 lpa and highest was 30lpa. The placement process is easy and pleasant. The college give all the support in placing .

Dear student,
If you're passionate about design and have a decent JEE Main rank, the choice between
ISDI Mumbai (Product Design)
and
NIT Rourkela (B.Tech in Industrial Design)
comes down to your goals.
ISDI Mumbai is a pure design institute focused on creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning. The program emphasizes real-world projects, portfolio building, and exposure to Mumbai’s design industry. It’s best for those who want a career in creative design , user experience, or product innovation. Admission is based on the ISDI Challenge , not JEE.
NIT Rourkela
, on the other hand, offers a design-oriented B.Tech that blends engineering and product design. It’s a good fit if you're looking for a
technical degree with a design element
. The course includes CAD, UX, manufacturing, and product development. Admission is through
JEE Main and JoSAA
, with strong placements and a top-tier campus.
Your decision should align with whether you see yourself as a
designer first
or an
engineer with design skills
.
Take your time
