we have a good inrastructure in the college, the mains buildings are newly built or either modified. It gives a clear view of maintanence of the college. Even the hostel is newly built 10 flooreyed structure with a capacity of more than 800 students. There is good library which is also a big building having a lot more books than other colleges with all time wifi and completely digitalised.
The professors are highly experienced and graduated for our course. They are also permanet staffs for the branch. There will be more than two professors along with a senior mentor for each class, if the class is taken by a new professor, along with him there will be a main professor for checking th equality of teaching. they also take care in making the students understand the topic well.
Placements for our course is low better saying is nil. there is barely one company that visits the college every year with an intake of about 4-5 students. Most students prefer to take job outside after graduation or do post graduation.
We have to spend much more money than the other course students for the stationary items and other equipments for the architecture course which is very costly other than the tuition fee of 66,850 and the hostel fee of 40,000 per semester. We dont get as much benefits as we expect.
Campus life is well good and thrilling as always for an institutions like the nits. The campus is much big and have all sort of basic facilities. the sport ground have much of the game space and there is also a sports building for indoor sports. The staff members are well supportive for the students in the college and they are chill too.
Infrastructure is not good. There are lot many spaces that are underdeveloped in the campus. Many of the inner part of the campus is not clean and maintained well. The bushes that are planted should be well taken care and trimmed periodically. The entrance of college and other mains areas are kept clean.
The quality of teaching is okay. Few of the professors are good and give quality teachings but the rest are just new to the college and the course of teaching. The curriculum is not updated according to the present scenario. There are much load for the students. The labs are outdated and equipements are not working properly.
The placement is pretty good. The placement cell here is better than the other college of the same preference. Not everyone in the course gets sure placements. The average package for the material and metallurgical department is about 6-7 lakhs per annum.
THe fees we pay for the education and hostel facilities is actually a much big price. We dont get that sort of quality education as well as the equipments for the lab facilities are also too old that maybe either bent or make creaky noices, some of them even dont work properly. The hostel food is also not that what we expect from the hostel fees we pay.
The teachers are supportive and is not much strict in the class as well as in the campus. the college campus is so big and we have a good space in the campus. library is also good. with much space for combined studies and also have a computer lab in them. There are many programmes in the college which is a festival for all of us.
The wifi facilities are not so good. Connection are not consistent and some time even we dont get them for days when we will be having much assignments and exams.
college have a very good infrastructure. The office building in the mains entrance itself gives a look of a professional college. The hostels are new for the first years which is a 10 flooreyed structure and the rest hostels are also well not so old. The classroom complex, The sports complex, The library are all well designed and is functioning well. The hostel have wifi facilities but the data speed is slow.
The professors for the Electronics and communication engineering is well experienced and are highly graduated. The lectures are of good standard and they were able to clear the doubts that arise in the minds of the students. The problems comes with the curriculum which is updated a long year back i guess. The syllabus is very tight and hard for us to swallow.
I felt that the placements are not good to the standards. The other colleges of the same standards are able to give higher packages with 100 percentage placement for the students. When they have even the foreign companies and well branded companies we still move on with the same companies that visits the previous years for the past many years. The average package is around 4-5 lakhs per annum.
I never felt like we are getting the benefit of the money we pay. The tuition fee as well as the hostel fee is high as for a government funded institutions like nit. Infact i didnt expect we will need to pay the fees while studying hard for the jee mains exam. Still we pay the cost, there should be much more development for the student entertainment.
Above all, The campus life is excellent and unforgettable. Leave about the college campus, we still have so many places here to visit and enjoy the leisure time. The campus is surrounded by the main nagpur town. There are so many shops, parks, theatres, shopping malls, etc. Also the campus is of large area and have an excellent ecosystem prevailing.
campus is clean and hygience with lots of workers hired for each and every purpose. there is also 2 electric buses in the campus for the transportation of the students from hostel to various buildings.
the college infrastructure is excellent and the most building are new and have good facilities in them. The mechanical department building is an old one but it has a good charm of the college. The library is a big builiding with all books related to the education. sports centres is also well developed with level grass planted in them.
I am studying for the mechanical department as far as my department is concerned the course professors are being borrowed from the other department for our year. the professors are not our permanent professors. the curriculum is not yet updated since long i think so. The course is comparatively a bit tougher than the other courses.
Placements are good. There are many foreign companies visiting our college for the campus placements, many of the students get a good placement packages . But there are someof them who get a package less than the average -college package. the average package for our department is around 7-8 lakhs per annum.
I dont think I get the value for the money. First of all I belong to a general cagegory and my annual income is highrer than 5 lakhs per annum so i dont get any scholarship from the college. Then the course fee and hostel fee is higher than the private institutions, while this college is a government funded institution it is necessary to provide education for less cost but the fees are much more than expected.
I feel the campus life excellent. I can enjoy well with my friends all around the campus. the campus is green with many trees and natural life all around. The town is nearby to hangover with friends. hostel life is excellent and its the biggest of all i enjoy here.
the infrastructure here is really remarkable, we have here new buildings with good facilities and space for the students. The first year hostel, classroom complex are all new buuidings built recently. The departments of each course are old and need renewment. But the design of all department are similar which gives a good feel of tradition. We have a well standard sports complex too.
The syllabus for architecture is really old and really basics. We do have equal examinations like those of engineering and still we have a lot of work which will not get over even the night before the examination. There is no such time for the enjoyement as far as we are considered due to extreme load of works. Still we are having much freedom in the class and during the studio hours. Which is really stress free.
There is no such placement for the architecture in this college barely one or two companies visits the college every year for this course. Also they intake just fewer than 5 or six and also the placement package is also too less to that of the engineering students. Most students prefer masters or go for job opportunities outside after graduation.
the value of money is not felt if we are having much load. though the course fee as well as the hostel fees are similar to that of engineering students and is also similar to other colleges of the same standard or tag nit. the tuition fee is about 66,850 whereas the hostel fee is 40,000 per semester. There are also situations that we should spend much money for the equipements for the work which will be around 15,000 per year.
As far as the overall campus life is considered, I felt this college is a place for it, other than the load of the academics there are much more places to visit here and the campus is green lush which always lets us hangout the whole night gossipping with each other. The transportation facility is also good here. there are also many shopping malls which is a place for our leisure time.
smart classrooms are completely air conditioned but other studios and halls arent air conditioned. The college is in good support to many competitions, meets and other extra curricular activities which is a time for the celebration.
Knowing about the colllege, I thought that it would be good one having a big campus and great scope of explaining yourself in extracurricular activities gaining knowledge about todays training technology and gaining more skills to have a perfect life, But knowing the reality, that the same procedure of engineering is being followed, not giving new scopes to explore yourself in the campus no such new maintanence and renewation. the classrooms are most better compared to the old ones .
The syllabus is the same old one as before no such new things are taught some common subjects have been burdened up on us which we are compelled to study though we dont like it. In this course of engineering no such technological use or advancement is seen by me , hope so the coming years will give me the opportunity to know my course more and have positive updation; in the curriculum.
the placement here is know that the highest placement package is for the computer science engineering department have went till 33 lakhs per annum. And having an average of 10-11 lakhs per annum. the placement cell is highly active here for the course.
the tuition fee for each semester is 66,850 per semester and the hostel fees is 40,000 per semester. The fees for the college is as average as of other such national institutes. But the mess food is comparatively bad as i experienced and the comments of my friends. Need to improve more in the college, should have a good developement in the college infrastructure. hope this will be santioned in future.
I felt the college doesnt have much enjoyment as if the other colleges are concerned, nothing much as innovation or creativie to explore in the college. the vast area is a green lush but as of an ordinary college with no such speciality attracting someones attention. Mess food also i felt it bad comparing with my home and other nit food.
need more developement with innovative and creative ideas for the infrastructure so that it should catch the attecntion of those who visit the college.
All the buildings in the campus is well connected with easy passage to other departments . it has a lot of free spaces which is not yet developed or explored. the campus is lush green with varieties of trees and plants all around and well decorated with the decorative plants infronts of each departments as well as other buildings which add to its beauty.
I am currently studying in the computer science department. The teaching professors are very helpful and they takes the interest of students to make the classes more interactive as well as interesting. The syllabus is not yet updated and it needs to be updated as many of the topics we are learning are not to the current technologies and developments.
placements are pretty good as we have the highest percentage of placement in our college. The average package for our departments is about 8-9 lakhs per annum. We have a good placement cell in our department, there are lot many good companies visiting providing excellent packages.
The tuition fees of the course for a semester is 66,850 and the hostel fees per semester is 40000. I felt that this fees is less in comparison with the other private institutions of the same standards. Overall i feel that the teaching is of good standard. The campus is providing excellent facilities for the development through advanced labs, huge library with completely digitalised and other facilities with thereby helps in my improving my talent.
We have a big ground with spaces for most outdoor games and the indoor complex have next level badminton court made with maple wood, there is also space for yoga hall, table tennis hall having 10 boards and every equipments are open for all. the hostels are new with good facilities. We have a good leisure time interacting with most inmates through various club activities. the college also conducts each and every festivals grantly which is another time which add to our college life and beauty.
The college clubs are the most active cells with more than 100 in number. They take use of the talents of students creating an enthu in the college as well as enbibing new talents and improving the existing talents of us. We are aleast part of 2-3 clubs which lets us interact socially with making use of our free time.
when i came here the thing that attracted my mind is the green environment here. the campus is a green lush. which is maintained well and cleaned regularly. Some of the departments have new building whereas some others still have old structure which still require renewation. while the sports complex as well as sports ground too is well maintained with complete filled grass which adds to the beauty. library is a huge building with completely digitalised.
I am studying for mechanical engineering , as far as my department professors are concerned. The professors are highly experienced and graduated. Some professors are very good at explaining and clearing doubts of the students. the curriculum is comparatively easy and are able to study without much load. There are many clubs here which you can join according to your interest, talent and hobby. these clubs are highly active enough to boost your interested talents.
Placements for the mechanical engineeering is good enough, that there are lot of companies coming for placing the students. the average package obtained is 6.5 to 7 lakhs per annum. The placement is high for the computer science and core branches with almost 80 above percentage.
The tuition fee is about 1.4 lakhs per annum and the hostel fees is 80,000 per annum which is almost similar to most nits. the hostel are new with good facilities for the students . Hostels are cleaned regularly to keep the health and hygiene of the inmates. The hostel also provides facility such as full wifi access to students. There are also sports equipments such as table tennis tables, badminton courts, carrom boards, for the students improving their skills.
I am having a very good experience here having fun with the friends both in hostel as well as campus. I feel like so free that i am expecting from a college life. Seniors are very chill and I dont felt anything such as ragging in this campus. the campus is completely ragging free. The town nearby increases our social life interacting with the outside people and offcampus.
he only difficulty we faced is in first year that our hostel intime was till 9.30 pm. We need to enter the hostel premises before the intime. The hostel is not such boring but still it felt something awkward when all the seniors where allowed to wander all around the campus.
The college is surrounded with high new buildings for hostels and other academics. The infrastructure facilities are excellent with good facilities both for hostel and classrooms. The library is fully facilitated to the students the whole day and night with high speed wifi and easy access to books. every classroom have the smartboards and are technologically updated to the new buildings but the old structures still remains non renewed.
The professor taking classes are very much concerned about the academics of the students as I am conccerned. There will be one main professor with one assistant professor and some phd scholars for assisting the students for each classes. I believe that the curriculum is updated with a less stressed syllabus in comparison with the other nits for the same course.
The placements for architecture is less or in other words it is nill. There are barely 1 or 2 companies that visit for the campus placement for architecture. It is basically that most of the students in architecture dont prefer the campus placement where well they can earn more by starting a firm themselves by forming a group. Still many of them prefer the higher education either go for masters or do interior designing or urban planning etc.
The tuition fee for this college for the architecture course is about 1.4 lakhs per annum which is the range of price for the nits. The hostel are about 80000 per annum and we get a good and facilitated hostel for being. The campus is gree lush and is well protected with enough worksman for the maintanence and hygiene. Moreover the college have a free transportation access as it is attached to the mains town.
life at vnit is a one to be experienced. we are actually able to enjoy the college life to the extend by maximum utilization of its resources. The college itself is a wide campus and moreover the access to the town or city is helping a lot. In fact we could actually enjoy the city itself by living in the college. sports ground is complete floodlighted to provide its function also till midnight. library is a whole day open booklet there is also a full accessed computer lab in it for the student.
A whole life experience to share.
There are many new recent constructions done but the institute lacks to renovate or rebuild pre- existing and too old buildings. It has a proper utilization of space as they managed to provide a lot of surface to the greenary to make the atmosphere feel nice.
Same old syllabus and poor course designing which creates a lot of stress on the student making it hard to enjoy the engineering life. The biggest trouble is that the still stick to primitive methods of teaching like use of drafter for ED rather than using computer softwares, No laptops are allowed for the first year which creates a lot of trouble in understanding programming and web designing through educational softwares and also restricts the learning of a student.
Many talented students get a low package in campus placement as there is no industries nearby to hire them. Some manage to get high payment through off campus interviews which the institute claim for themselves and resulting in wastage of talent..
Being the most expensive nit you may have a misunderstanding that it would have a comfortable atmosphere here but a lot of money is wasted. The sports facility provided, is not maintained properly. the hostels feels like a hell like extremely irritating rules , unfriendly staff, and accommodation of two student in a room which was designed for one student.
The seniors are very supportive and helps to build our personality to survive in the race of life. Many teachers understand the common problem of students but still the administration should try to understand students problem before the student start protesting.
HELLO,
With a 95.75% in JEE Main 2025 , General -EWS rank of 9115 and CRL 64274 you have a very good chance of getting CSE at IIIT Pune as its previous closing ranks go beyond your EWS rank. However getting CSE at NIT Nagpur is highly unlikely as its CSE cutoff for general -EWS is usually below 8000.You may still get CSE in some mid or lower tier like NIT Patna , Jalandhar, Agartala, or Hamirpur depending on round and category trends

Hello Aspirant,
If you have a strong interest in core engineering and also an interdisciplinary inclination toward fields like automation, robotics, or control systems, then Instrumentation and Control in NIT Trichy would be a great field to choose, NIT Trichy is one of the top NITs with good faculty, research exposure and great placements record for niche branches as well.
However, if you have a stronger inclination to become more software, electronics, communication level in the tech field, ECE in NIT Nagpur or MNIT Jaipur would be better options as they provide a wider breadth to careers and also a better mass placements options.
So choose NIT Trichy (ICE) as it is a prestige institute and if you have core engineering interest and decent academics. Also, you can choose ECE (Nagpur/Jaipur) for breadth in tech roles, coding based jobs, flexibility in all sorts of career paths.
Hii,
VNIT CSE is a better choice if you enjoy computers, coding, and software because computer science offers more career opportunities and higher salaries overall. However, NIT Warangal ECE is also excellent if you have a preference for electronics, gadgets, or circuits—NIT Warangal is more well-known and ranked higher. Thus, make your decision based on your preferences. CSE at VNIT is a marginally better choice for employment and future advancement.
