IIT Indore was ranked 401-500 in the world by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings of 2021, 78 in Asia and 79 among emerging economies. In India, it was ranked 10 among engineering colleges by the National Institutional Ranking Framework in 2020. In terms of infra, IIT BHU is still ahead of IIT Indore. The machines, etc are old in the old departments such as mechanical, etc. However, departments like CSE and Mathematics have brand new buildings, computers, etc.  In mechanical and civil engineering branches, core placements chances are very low, but there are high chances for non-core placements. However, CS and electrical students have good placements, and metallurgy and material science students also have good chances to get placed better. To be honest, 80 is an amazing score but it does not guarantee your seat into IITs. For getting into an IIT, you need to score good in JEE mains and advance. Admissions into IITs is only based on that. All the best !
