The the infrastructure of IIT Madras is too good. There are high quality of computers are available and A smart board in each and every class is there was a big auditorium where all the programs will be held there are different types of laps for practise and practical examinations.
The Academics of IIT Madras is to great the teachers are very supportive they support us and grabbing the new opportunities and helps us to completing the new project and assignments they provide us various types of practical exams which help us to grabbing the new things very easily . The teachers also support us in a examination they sup provide us important question that what is important for your subject and for your examination. But the course is to difficult to difficult I am a short you have to study it with yourself if you are not studying it then it will be two difficult for you to grab. The fee structure of IIT Madras fees course a structure is very according to the courses like for B.Tech students they are must be a fees of 5 lakh to 10 lakh depending on the specialisation. This whole fees is combination of tuition fees hostel fees.
As you all know the campus lawyer for IIT is too good they organise a concert organiser fest they also organised various types of programs in their auditoriums there are various types of concerts organised for the students to encourage them and they are various types of singers are coming for performance. Overall the campus life is too good there very friendly the South Indian peoples are too good . Some of the north Indian people have a some problem with south Indian but it would be managed by everyone but everyone knows that the campus of IIT is too great.
Well developed infrastructure that includes a library, labs, sports facilities, and hostels. Excellent infrastructure available in individual departments and centres; and has several centrally located facilities for researchers.
The courses of study are organised as semester programs and each semester provides for a minimum of seventy instructional days.Evaluation is done by the faculty, a consequence of the autonomous status granted to the institute
IIT Madras is known for its exciting placement season with consistent statistics and success rates across the years. This college has announced that it has placed 80% of students in B.Tech and dual degree courses and 75% of students in M.Tech until April, 2024
In IIT Madras, Placement rates is all good as the highest package offered in 2023 was INR 1.31 crore per annum for B.Tech students.
IIT Madras is a residential institute that occupies a 617 acre campus that was formely part of the adjoining Guindy National Park. The campus is located 10 km from the Channai Airport, 12 km from the Chennai Railway Station.
Excellent infrastructure, huge library and great labs. Hostels have Wi-Fi, classrooms are spacious, there's gym for fitness enthusiasts , and all sorts of sports facilities. Food and mess is quite hygienic.
Very concise faculties, with unique teaching methods. Every week there's assignments to keep students involved. Assignments are thought provoking. The courses are extremely well designed keeping in mind the job-readiness of students.
Quite good for a new course. There's multiple AI startups which have hired interns and even full-time jobs from this course. That's quite positive, given the very new launch of this course. Also there's a placement council, which also helps.
We can not tell much about the hostels because have not been there as it is an online degree, but whenever I get there in the fests I can explore the campus myself and then I can make any comment on that, but tell from other people's experience it is very well.
The teachers are well qualified and experienced in their subjects, they have a good knowledge and they teach really fantastic. The course curriculum is fully relevant to the industry demands of this time. The semester exams are little tough but if you study thoroughly in as much time you get, it is enough to get good marks.
Placements are very well as I have heard from seniors, also the support of placement cell is very good. The top recruiting companies are L&T, Amazon etc., most of the jobs are in data Science field, mostly data Science or data analyst intern in the companies.
Course is seriously good
Since this is a distance/off-campus/online course, you won't get access to campus for regular study, but you can visit the campus with your official ID card. If we talk about the curriculum and academics, then you are going to have an IIT-level quality of education.
All the instructors and professors are well-qualified from the world's top institutes. Most of them are helpful and are free to help students in their academics through their email. In this era of fast-growing technology and data, this course is very relevant. This course will help you be future-ready in the industry. All the assessments, including exams, are of standard level, with no chance of cheating. Generally, the pass percentage is 40% or above.
The official data on placements is not published by IITM BS. But some sources say that students get internships at big companies and also get a handsome package. Some of the top roles that one can get from a BS in Data Science and Application are data scientist, data analyst, and many more.
All the professor are helpful
The college is having a lot of greenery which makes much it more beautiful. I can bet you will definitely enjoy the campus life if you stay in hostel. But some of my north Indian friend were not satisfied with the mess food at all.
Being a msc (physics) student I gained a lot of knowledge during my course , I was very much interested in the academic subjects we used to study. Also if you perform well then teachers also promote your ideas on which you work. I can say that the quality of teaching was top level.
The college offers beautiful placements and internships opportunities to students to be into their dream companies at my time I got the highest package in my department . But for a nice package you must have a good resume, that can help you in applying for nice job opportunities.
I would rate the campus and other facilities to be sufficient for a student of any course. You can opt for hostel and be ready for the mess food because that will not be that much good. Other than that it is well maintained .
I was masters student ,and the teachers at the time I was a student were just amazing. In academics I used to score about 90% most of the time because of the teachers and curriculum also supports students to gain some valuable skills.
Yes the packages are decent for a msc student if he/she wants to go for a job and if not you can further continue in some higher degree like me but do it only if you are really interested. Also I like smoothness and transparency of the process.
I am mechanical branch student at iit madras ,talking about the campus of my college I can say that it is a well developed college. The classes are having smart boards and other required things. Also new equipments are their in the laboratories.
The teachers in the college are very nice and the curriculum which they teach us is having new technologies also. In my department which is mechanical, the teachers helps a lot . The academics with some other skills(which we have to develop) will make you job ready.
The placements is not a hectic task you can easily move through the streamline process and will definitely land into some good job . The process from starting to end is nice. The overall average package was close to 20 lpa this year.
As it is an iit , you can expect very huge infrastructure . Also , the campus is really big with a hostel and a lot of space , plus greenery is everywhere . The library is my favourite , ha ing lots of books and a group discussion room in it .
The college faculty is very experienced and highly qualified , and they are very well known . The ratio is about 180 teachers . A college exam is in the semester format , where we have to give an exam every semester in order to get promoted to the next semester , and it is medium hard to pass the exam .
More than 90 percent of students are placed on campus . The package is also high . It also provides internship programs and industrial projects to the students in the college . The college also provides the students with am internship program in which they can take part and get selected through the interview round , and they can learn and grasp knowledge and experience exposure from that internship for the upcoming placement sessions .
The infrastructure available for the mba course at this college was very good .the college has a big campus with all kinds of modern facilities , which enhances students learning . The entire campus has wifi connectivity , which can be assessed by the college teachers and students .
The faculty of the dorms Madras was highly qualified and knowledgeable . All the teaching staff available in the mba course were supportive and helpful to the students . The course curriculum followed for the mba at this college was relevant , which makes students industry ready .
In our batch , around 60 percent of the students get placed at the dorms in Madras . The college has a well developed placements ce that conducts various placement drives for the on campus placements of the students .

Admission to IIT Madras, like all Indian Institutes of Technology, is highly competitive and governed by strict eligibility criteria. To qualify, candidates must clear JEE Advanced and also meet specific academic standards. The official requirements state that applicants must either achieve a minimum of 75% marks in their Class 12 examinations (65% for SC, ST, or PwD categories), or rank within the top 20 percentile of their respective board for the relevant category.
With a score of 49%, you would not meet the general marks criterion. Your eligibility now depends on whether this score places you within the top 20 percentile of your board for your category. It is advisable to check your board’s percentile cutoffs for your specific year and category to confirm this.
If you are not eligible this year, you might consider preparing to retake JEE Main and Advanced in the next cycle, provided you meet age and attempt limits. Alternatively, you could explore admission to other reputable institutions such as IIITs, NITs (if your JEE Main score is competitive), state engineering colleges, or private universities with more flexible entry requirements.
Should you wish, I can assist in identifying colleges that align with your current academic profile and category. Please let me know if you would like more tailored guidance.
